What is UXfolio?
By utilizing custom fonts, colors, and an innovative portfolio design, you can differentiate yourself from others in the field. Crafting personalized case study layouts can save you significant time. Forget about endlessly searching for mockups; with just a single click, you can effortlessly place your screens into mockups for various devices like desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. We offer support with writing prompts, questions, and illustrative examples as well. In your case studies, make sure to highlight interactive prototypes and secure any sensitive information with password protection, allowing you to manage access effectively. Throughout our extensive experience as design leaders, we’ve reviewed countless UX portfolios. We've observed that a majority of UX designers tend to approach their portfolios similarly to photographers or print designers. As UX professionals, our mission has been to assist these designers in crafting impactful portfolios that align with their aspirations. To achieve this, one must create a platform that facilitates storytelling around their design process, giving context to the work presented. This storytelling element is crucial for engaging your audience and demonstrating the thought behind your design choices.

Kind of awesome resource
Date: Aug 21 2024SummaryI think the resource is awesome to be honest, and so on point with how annoying and time demanding it can become to design case studies for UX portfolios. Is just it need to be perfected, but for example I emailed them to fix some problems and they really answered every time, really friendly and dedicated. So yes, I like this a lot.
PositiveThat you can save so much time building a UX portfolio, and that is quite great. The templates are super and the case studies are easily build.
NegativeWell some log in problems, some UI problems as well, and there should be a bit maybe more customization I think (for example for 1 portfolio template you have just 1 case study template)

It was ok until they stopped caring about customers
Date: Apr 15 2024SummaryI would stay away from this company until we figure out what the hell is happening there.
PositiveIt was super easy to setup, with no custom options for the user to get distracted so for a long time I was recommending it to anyone needing their first portfolio.
NegativeUXfolio forgot to pay their cloud bill and every client had their portfolio offline for 3 weeks. I got upset and told them that I was going to move my portfolio somewhere else and canceled my auto-renew, they canceled my premium a month before the expiration date.

Professional and Easy to Use
Date: Jul 13 2024SummaryI've enjoyed using UXfolio. It took away a lot of anxiety for me while building my portfolio. It looks professional and clean and I love that I had the option to use my own domain.
PositiveI like the clean design and all the different options of sections to add. It looks really professional and is easy to edit as well.
NegativeI wish there was a little more freedom on the design. For instance I want to freely control my text boxes (like on Figma) instead of being confined to certain perimeters.

UXfolio Review
Updated: Jul 16 2024SummaryI would recommend UXfolio to others because of its intuitiveness and user-friendly features. I like that UXfolio allows you to create as many case studies as you want.
PositiveI really like the UXfolio has templates for me to use when creating new case studies for my projects. I find them to be very organizing and I like the helpful suggestions that they add when creating a new section.
NegativeI wish there was a bit more customization and the pricing could be a bit lower to make it more affordable. Maybe offering a student discount would be helpful and attract those who need portfolios when applying to jobs.

UX Designer
Date: Jul 13 2024SummaryOverall, UXfolio is an exceptional tool for UX/UI designers looking to create professional portfolios with ease. Its user-friendly interface, impressive design templates, and effective case study builder make it a valuable asset for showcasing design work.
PositiveThe platform offers a range of beautifully designed templates that make it easy to create visually appealing portfolios without needing advanced technical skills. One of the standout features is the case study builder, which allows designers to showcase their projects in a structured and engaging manner, highlighting the design process and outcomes effectively. Additionally, the responsive design ensures that portfolios look great on all devices, from desktops to mobile phones, which is crucial for reaching a wider audience.
NegativeThe templates are fantastic, but having more flexibility to tweak or start from scratch would enhance the overall user experience. According to me, UXfolio seems to be relatively unknown among designers. Increased marketing efforts could help raise awareness and attract more users.

Great service
Date: Jul 15 2024SummaryOverall experience has been great so far. So easy to change things up, even if I mess something up it's an easy fix. Very user-friendly (as I would hope it would be, being a ux tool) and even fun to use!
PositiveSo easy to use, functions that make sense for UX designers, low price, and lots of options for designs that are also customizable.
NegativeNothing so far! Everything has been so smooth. Maybe having more pre-set color palette options would be nice.

Not recomended
Date: Apr 02 2024SummaryI recommend holding off until they add more feature for customizing portfolio creation and address all their backend issues to ensure consistent website availability.
PositiveIt is user friendly, but this simplicity causes quite a few limitations. It is good for beginners or if you need a portfolio asap.
Negative1. Limited features.

Feedback
Updated: Aug 21 2024SummaryThis platform is user-friendly, making it easy to create a beautiful and organized portfolio without needing a separate domain. I appreciate the structure suggestions for UX methods.
However, there are some drawbacks: occasional bugs require double work when moving sections, and the ability to add more than one link in the header would be helpful.
There are also limitations in editing body text colors and adding tooltips. Additionally, more options for UX methods, including charts and tables, would enhance the platform's utility.
Overall, it's a good tool with room for improvement.Positive• Its a easy platform to use;
• I don't need contract a domain or other things to create my first portfolio;
• Its beautiful and organized;
• Have some structure suggestions to UX methods and its really nice.Negative• It has some bugs and sometimes I need spend a double time recreating the same section because I move one section and other was impacted without touch it;

Fit for purpose
Date: Aug 28 2024SummaryOverall, I have little to complain about. I really enjoy the simplicity and ease of use. I won't be porting to another tool any time soon.
PositiveI think making portfolios is very time intensive and this product makes it easier. In the time I've had my portfolio up on UXfolio, I've noticed that they update it fairly regularly and the tools to set up case studies are fairly easy to use. I especially enjoy that the templates are updated frequently. I would recommend UXfolio to fellow UX designers.
NegativeI take some issue with the amount of flexibility allowed on UXfolio eg. being able to adjust the width of content in columns. Rolling out changes to the colour scheme of my portfolio has been inconsistent. There are always some spots where the background colour doesn't apply and needs to be updated manually. Allowing adjustments to a selected template should be possible but somehow is not - I can't add an image to a hero banner when the template doesn't have it. Adding background images and editing them is a bit janky, you can never be sure how it will turn out until you hit save. More UX methods could be available for case study sections. Preset tool logos could also be made available.

UX Designer Review
Date: Aug 21 2024SummaryOverall a great investment for UX designers for sure. I found the whole experience very easy to use.
PositiveI love the fact that as a UX designer I have a platform in which I can build my portfolio in a short amount of time. I think one of the main things I like about UXfolio is that they have presets made for case studies that you want to showcase. The best part is, I don't have to use the presets either and can use whatever font or style I choose.
NegativeNone I love using it! I found using the entire site easy to use and perfect for my needs.

100% the best platform I have used.
Date: Jul 15 2024Summary100% the best platform I have used to build my portfolio. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I will be using UXfolio for many... many years to come.
PositiveUXfolio has been incredible for me to display my design portfolio. The drag and drop features and inspirations help me to effectively communicate my processes and decisions. It's an affordable platform that allows me to integrate a domain that I already own. They also provide top-tier support, with personal and quick responses. I am a big fan of everything that UXfolio provides.
NegativeThere are no cons with using UXfolio. It is simply the best.

UXfolio for my portfolio
Date: Aug 22 2024SummaryIt's been a great experience overall. I've only been using it for a short period, but I can tell it is a great platform for those looking to build a portfolio from zero.
PositiveI'm enjoying using this platform to build my UX portfolio. Its price is competitive compared to others, and its intuitive interface is minimalistic, which makes it clear to me how to navigate. I've been using it for a week and it's been a good experience. I'm receiving tip emails on how to strategically build my portfolio.
NegativeSome small features like the navigation menu and logo. I cannot customize my navigation menu on different pages; if I choose one design for my homepage, that's the one. Additionally, when the logo was added I could not customize the size.

Perfect Software for Designers
Updated: Aug 23 2024SummaryI really liked the experience of UXfolio and wish I could have discovered it earlier. In the last year I have redesigned my portfolio a lot of times and it was always a nightmare because of the softwares I used, but now that I am using UXfolio I redesigned everything and added more case studies in just 1 week! Besides the easy way to add sections to case studies, the suggestions on how to write and explain each design method helped me A LOT!
PositiveThis is a really easy software for product designers to share their work, without spending too much time trying to learn how to use the software first. With UXfolio I was able to upload more of case studies in 1 week, than I did in months using other softwares.
NegativeWhat I think could be improved is having more sections regarding UX methods, but we have the basics, so it is still pretty fast to personalize anything else we want to add.

Super Intuitive and Easy
Date: Aug 21 2024SummaryGenerally a really good experience, I've recommended this site to a number of people now. The platform is highly intuitive, with an in-line editing approach that makes it quick and easy to select and drop widgets directly into case studies. It also offers great flexibility, with extensive customisation options that allow me to tailor the look and feel to match my preferences. Additionally, the tool is easy to learn, enabling me to get up to speed quickly and focus on creating case studies rather than spending time learning a new tool. What’s more, changes are instantly updated, allowing me to preview the user experience in real-time while I work on the site.
Positive- It's very intuitive, with an in-line editing approach, makes it super quick to select from the list of widgets and drop them into the case study.
- It is also flexible, there is a lot of customisation which allows me to tailor the general look and feel to my perferences.
- Easy to learn, did not take me long at all, which meant I could focus more on my case studies rather than learning another tool.
- Instantly updating. When you make a change to the site, it automatically updates, so I can preview the site as a general user alongside editing it!Negative- Would be nicer to have the plan a little cheaper.

Great starter site for UX portfolios
Date: Jul 12 2024SummaryGreat product, I appreciate how easy it is to use compared to other products like webflow. Using this to start applying for jobs quickly.
PositiveIt's very easy to use. There is barely any learning curve which is nice. I'm using uxfolio to get my portfolio out so I can start applying for jobs quickly.
NegativeLess flexibility for other styling and customization of placing of items, however, there are options to customize the bare minimum items such as color and font style

An excellent choice for busy UX designers
Date: Aug 21 2024SummaryBuilding my UXfolio from an existing portfolio was very easy and looks significantly better than the site I made on my own. I could easily create 4 unique case studies (Design, Research, Accessibility, Case Study) and improve them. It is now much easier to manage my site and portfolio than it was working with code.
PositiveThis is a very helpful portfolio builder for UX designers who don't have time to build one from scratch. Site templates are modern, stylish, visually appealing, and easy to fill out. Section templates within a case study are useful for displaying your work and follow a very logical order. Customization options are plentiful and changing / reseting them is easy. The gradient options makes my blue-orange header look extremely smooth and modern.
NegativeLack of version history can be cumbersome. Some extremely low-level details like underlining links are not an option. Editing case study can be challenging because clicking on it to edit takes you to its full page.

Easy tool for designer
Updated: Sep 19 2024SummaryOverall I like the simplicity of the tool, I build my site within 2 days. But if the support part could improve, it will be much better.
Positive- You don't need to have any code base knowledge to have your portfolio site up and running.
- There are many different templates to start with, so you don't need to build everything from scratch.
- UI is easy to navigate, intuitive and you can start building your site very quickly.Negative- Support is very limited: if you have any questions, you want to get some support via phone or live chat. They don't have it, the only way to reach out is email... which takes some time to get back from them.

- Domain connection: If you have a domain from other places you want to move here, it's very very difficult... I still can't figure it out with many emails with their support.
