What is UXfolio?
By utilizing custom fonts, colors, and an innovative portfolio design, you can differentiate yourself from others in the field. Crafting personalized case study layouts can save you significant time. Forget about endlessly searching for mockups; with just a single click, you can effortlessly place your screens into mockups for various devices like desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. We offer support with writing prompts, questions, and illustrative examples as well. In your case studies, make sure to highlight interactive prototypes and secure any sensitive information with password protection, allowing you to manage access effectively. Throughout our extensive experience as design leaders, we’ve reviewed countless UX portfolios. We've observed that a majority of UX designers tend to approach their portfolios similarly to photographers or print designers. As UX professionals, our mission has been to assist these designers in crafting impactful portfolios that align with their aspirations. To achieve this, one must create a platform that facilitates storytelling around their design process, giving context to the work presented. This storytelling element is crucial for engaging your audience and demonstrating the thought behind your design choices.

PositiveThis has been helpful for easy set up and layout without overthinking. I like the ability to customize my own fonts and I like the ideas that are suggested for methods.
NegativeI wish it was more flexible with the ability to code my own components like HTML and CSS.

Most useful portfolio builder for UX designers!
Date: Aug 21 2024SummaryOverall UXfolio exceeded my expectations by far. Highly recommend as a user friendly portfolio builder made specifically for us UX/UI/product designers out there. Thanks!
PositiveI love that UXfolio is specifically designed for UX designers. It has the right features to add and change things that we need for our case studies, rather than generic design portfolio features that other builder have. The mockups are especially helpful, the interface is easy to use. If this was around when I was just starting out in UX it would have been a life saver. Those just learning - go for this rather than the other builders out there. Even for more senior designers who struggle to update their portfolio - this is such a good way to keep it up to date without spending weeks or months building a site. I'm really loving it.
NegativeThere are some little features that would be nice to have that may be useful such as stopping scroll in mockups - but there are quick fixes and workarounds to basically every issue I encountered. Their help section and support is super helpful and responsive. You do have to pay and upgrade to make the most of it and actually have more than one case study, which is understandable. I just upgraded and it is definitely worth it considering the pros. Otherwise, no major cons for me.

Product is fine but don't expect customer service. They don't answer emails
Date: Feb 05 2023SummaryEasy to use but they think that they are better than amazon, that their system is so amazing, no real human worker is needed.
PositiveEasy to use. If you are lazy like me and hate building your own portfolio with all the blah blah, The site lays out the blah blah.
NegativeBut if your portfolio doesn't connect to your own domain or URL and you ask for help, forget it—no answer after 2 days, and frankly, I don't think they will.

Horrible Experience
Date: May 05 2022SummaryTake your money elsewhere and don't support an organization that is only good at 2 things, taking people's money, a horrible refund policy, and uses front-end developers to handle customer service.
Positive1. If you're a junior and don't care to have the flexibility and want your portfolio to look like everyone else, uxfolio is for you.
2. If you are crunched with time and need to speed up and create an aesthetically boring portfolio and have a lot of help, UXfolio is for you.
3. They are great at taking your money and having a horrible refund policy of 9 days.NegativeWhere to start.

Customer service is horrible! UXfolio has front-end developers working as customer service?!?
They clearly don't know what they are doing by having someone who doesn't even spend time dealing with customer problems assist their customers.
The funny thing is that they provide a service for UX Designers but lacks empathy towards their customers, have a horrible refund policy, and, have minimal tutorial videos and the flexibility to customize your portfolio and case studies. -

Poor customer support
Date: Feb 02 2022SummaryProduct is obviously taking advantage of the time and stress that comes from making a portfolio. Unlike LinkedIn who understands the ebbs and flows of job hunting , this product completely misses the mark. Ultimately ending in a pdf of all your hard work and no way to migrate your data. Forced to continue paying a $100 subscription.
PositiveEasy to set up.
