I hate transferring crypto currencies in or out of Uphold due to the complexity of the need to covert your cryptocurrency to another form - crypto network currency before you can transfer out.
Why complicate things w an extra step????

Your BAT are directly transferred from Brave to Uphold. It will also automatically w/d BAT to pay for Brave.

Why oh why is there is there a difference between a crypto network coins and crypto currency coins?
Every other platform I use, can transfer directly from my account to another. But uphold? NOOOO! you have to convert from their crypto currency to "crypto network coins" before you can transfer out.
What a waste of time and complication!

THEFT!!! Not a Secure Company!
My account was hacked and ALL of my 9,000 us dollars worth of assets were stolen. This happened on 3/31/2022. I immediately notified Uphold, literally as it was happening. There is no direct contact line or direct email address to voice problems...you have to go through a support ticket and hope for a response at some point. Today is 4/14/2022. For 2 weeks, I have daily messaged Uphold, giving them every bit of information I can, pleading for them to secure an investigation of the theft. Their only responses have been that I somehow must've allowed someone to get into my 2-step verification....This is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. Anyone who has an Uphold account knows how difficult it is, as the account owner, to withdraw funds (ironically, this is what attracted me to Uphold a year ago...I thought it must be very secure). - According to Uphold, somehow I allowed someone access to my e-mail, clicked the appropriate ID's, entered the appropriate password, and accessed my Authentication App (which changes every 30 seconds), all without my knowledge; so, there's nothing they can do to get my money back. Uphold falsely advertises itself to be secure. And now that they've proven otherwise, they refuse to correct the wrong. DO NOT RISK YOUR $ WITH UPHOLD!

On the surface, seems like it would be a secure company...based in the U.S. (supposedly), proclaims security as a principle, and utilizes a difficult multi-step authentication system.

I had nearly $9,000 stolen from me. Uphold has not made any true attempt to investigate the theft.

This is clearly a thorough and secure digital wallet for both crypto, rewards, and plain $. Has a bit of a learning curve for the uninitiated.

Introduced via Brave BAT rewards. The signing up process makes it clear that this is secure. Tracks pricing of different crypto, and shows your balance by crypto.

Set up process was very long. A little confusing at first, takes a while to get used to the interface.
