The overrides object is aligned in type with the ChartOptions object that governs chart configurations, replacing any straightforward fields it identifies with their respective counterparts in the options object. When an array is involved, like in the previously mentioned xAxes and yAxes fields, the single object within the array acts as a model for updating all elements within the corresponding array found in the options object. As a result, in the example provided, every axis will have its tick and gridline colors altered accordingly. There is a universal directive that applies to every chart type: baseChart, while there are eight unique chart types to choose from: line, bar, radar, pie, polarArea, doughnut, bubble, and scatter.
