Out of date and out of ideas
Date: Aug 10 2023SummaryReady to ditch this old dog and find something better. I cannot think of another piece of software that we use that has so vehemently refused to change and update its UI as TopsOrtho.
PositiveRuns on Macs and is pretty stable. Good reporting. Instant updates between workstations. But that's about it.
NegativeVery high purchase cost and ongoing monthly support fees, but minimal development in over 10 years. UI is stuck in the naughties. Painful to get many simple administrative tasks achieved, and 'updates' have frequently made things worse. Constantly prompted to type staff password again and again and again! Atrocious letter system, almost unworkable. No cloud backup. Don't really support customers outside the US. Poor 3rd party integration.
