What is Broch?

Broch functions as a developer tunneling solution that facilitates the exposure of local services through a server located on an organization's own infrastructure. With its command-line interface, developers can create secure public HTTPS tunnels for a variety of applications, such as handling webhooks, testing integrations, sharing ongoing projects, conducting mobile tests, and showcasing their work. The server implements user authentication through the organization’s OIDC identity provider and enforces policies set by administrators to manage tunnel creation, regulate access to registered targets, and define acceptable inbound requests using network or header rules. Moreover, Broch records tunnel usage and HTTP requests, associating them with the developer who initiated them, and transmits structured audit events to the customer's logging systems. The Docker-based server can be deployed in both cloud and on-premises environments, allowing for effective user access and seat management through a user-friendly administration interface. The command-line tool supports Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, ensuring that it is a flexible option for developers on various platforms. This adaptability not only promotes efficient collaboration among teams but also simplifies testing processes, ultimately improving their development workflow. By streamlining these operations, Broch empowers developers to focus more on their projects and less on the logistics of connectivity and access.

What is ASL Tunnel?

ASL Tunnel allows users to access locally hosted applications without needing to open inbound firewall ports, facilitating connections to apps on devices behind home or office routers for a range of activities such as previews, webhook deliveries, dashboards, camera feeds, and internal tools. This innovative service enables developers to share builds with clients, allows teams to receive webhooks on secured machines, and provides agencies the opportunity to showcase their work without requiring deployment. Users can easily control their tunnels and manage access permissions through a browser-based dashboard or command line interface, enhancing flexibility and convenience. Furthermore, new machines can be quickly linked using a one-time code that expires in ten minutes, significantly reducing the security risks tied to sharing long-term credentials via chat or email. Accompanying this service is the ASL Tunnel Customer Android application, which offers real-time updates and alerts regarding tunnel status, all at no charge, although it is important for users to be aware that service requirements and tunnel fees are charged separately. ASL Tunnel is designed for developers, small teams, agencies, and individuals who manage applications on their own computers, making it an indispensable tool for secure and efficient access management. Moreover, with its intuitive features, ASL Tunnel optimizes the process of connecting to local applications while prioritizing both security and user convenience across various platforms.
