What is CCR2004-16G-2S+?

Like its counterparts in the CCR2004 series, this CCR utilizes the Annapurna Labs Alpine v2 CPU, which features four 64-bit ARMv8-A Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. What truly sets this router apart is its remarkable single-core performance, which surpasses all previous CCR models, making it particularly adept at handling demanding tasks that require extensive per-connection processing, such as queue management. It also stands out for offering the best single-core performance per watt, achieving remarkable overall efficiency compared to any other device in the CCR line, which not only promotes an eco-friendly approach but also helps in cost reduction. The router is equipped with 18 wired ports, including 16 Gigabit Ethernet and two 10G SFP+ cages, providing extensive connectivity options. Additionally, it features a full-size USB port and an RJ-45 console port, conveniently accessible on the front panel. Maintaining the signature CCR aesthetic, it is housed in a sleek 1U rackmount chassis with a traditional white finish. Furthermore, dual redundant power supplies ensure reliability in power management, while an active cooling system maintains optimal temperatures during operation. Overall, this router not only raises the bar in terms of performance but also prioritizes energy efficiency, making it a stellar choice for both enterprise environments and home users seeking reliability and excellence. With its advanced capabilities, it reinforces the commitment to innovation in networking technology.
