What is Cisco 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers?

The Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers act as a powerful platform for Software Defined WAN, amalgamating different WAN links and network functionalities like encryption and traffic control, allowing them to function at impressive line speeds between 2.5 and 200 Gbps. What is CCR1036-8G-2S+?

The newly upgraded CCR1036-8G-2S+ router represents a significant advancement, now equipped with dual SFP+ ports to support 10G interfaces, with the necessary modules sold separately. It retains the powerful 36-core Tilera CPU from the earlier CCR1036 model, ensuring the same exceptional performance levels. This router is housed in a 1U rackmount chassis and is outfitted with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, a serial console port, as well as the newly added dual SFP+ ports. Furthermore, the CCR1036-8G-2S+ includes 4GB of onboard RAM, an M.2 PCIe 4x slot, a full-size USB port, and a dual power supply for increased reliability.
