What is ConsensusDOCS?
Established in 2007, ConsensusDocs was created through the joint efforts of twenty different organizations in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) sector, all sharing a common goal: to transform contract practices in order to protect the interests of projects. To fulfill this mission, the ConsensusDocs Coalition developed a framework built on principles of trust, collaboration, and innovation. As the A/E/C industry landscape evolves, the Coalition actively responds by forming specialized working groups aimed at addressing the changing contract needs of the sector. These groups provide a platform for industry professionals to come together and exchange insights on current trends and best practices, ensuring that the contracts developed remain relevant and effective. Participants in these working groups engage in discussions both online and in person, allowing them to express their opinions on various contract issues while backing up their views with sound reasoning. This collective endeavor not only improves the quality of contracts but also cultivates a spirit of ongoing enhancement within the industry, paving the way for future advancements in contract management.
