What is Crypto.com Visa Card?

The Crypto.com Visa Card operates as a prepaid card, which shares similarities with a debit card but has one significant difference: debit cards link directly to a bank account, whereas prepaid cards necessitate that you load funds beforehand. You can add money to your prepaid card using methods such as bank transfers, other debit or credit cards, or by utilizing cryptocurrency. To get a Crypto.com Visa Card, you are required to stake CRO tokens for a period of 180 days. The first step is to sign up for an account in the Crypto.com App and complete the required KYC verification. Afterward, you can buy CRO tokens and move them into your Crypto Wallet within the App. If you decide to purchase CRO directly in the App, you can skip further steps. The amount of CRO tokens needed will depend on the specific tier of the card you wish to apply for, allowing you to select the most suitable option for your preferences. This process ensures that users can effectively customize their card experience based on their investment strategy.

What is Coinbase One Card?

Scheduled for a fall 2025 release, the Coinbase One Card will be a credit card that leverages the American Express network, allowing users to earn up to 4% back in Bitcoin on their purchases. The rewards percentage is tied to the user's total assets held on Coinbase, starting at 2% for all users and increasing as their holdings expand. Exclusively available to Coinbase One members, this subscription-based service includes a basic tier. The card, issued by First Electronic Bank and managed through Cardless in partnership with American Express, will offer a variety of exclusive benefits from the Amex network, such as special deals, unique experiences, extended warranties, and travel disruption protections. With a metal design that honors Bitcoin's genesis block, the card aims to appeal to cryptocurrency enthusiasts. It's worth noting that as rewards are awarded in Bitcoin, they will be affected by market volatility, and certain purchases may not qualify for rewards. Ultimately, the Coinbase One Card seeks to elevate the cryptocurrency experience while providing significant incentives for its users, making it a noteworthy addition to the financial landscape. This innovative offering reflects the growing intersection of traditional finance and digital currencies in today's economy.
