What is Emdash?

Emdash is a free, open-source agentic development environment that provides tools for orchestrating AI coding agents across multiple software development tasks. The desktop application runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux and supports numerous command-line coding assistants, including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Amp, Antigravity, and OpenCode. Developers can create separate tasks and assign different AI agents to implement features, investigate bugs, refactor applications, or review existing code. Each task uses an isolated Git worktree and branch, allowing multiple agents to modify the same repository without directly conflicting over working files. The platform maintains task-specific terminal sessions, agent conversations, and review information within a centralized interface. Its built-in file editor allows users to browse, search, modify, and recover source files directly within their development workspaces. Emdash includes an integrated browser for previewing local applications, remote development servers, and public web pages while working on coding tasks. Git management capabilities support reviewing code diffs, staging changes, creating commits, pushing branches, opening pull requests, and monitoring GitHub Actions checks. Scheduled automation features enable recurring agent executions for activities such as code reviews, bug sweeps, dependency maintenance, and release preparation. The software connects with Linear, Jira, GitHub, Notion, Asana, and other project management services while providing a library for reusable prompts, agent skills, and Model Context Protocol servers. Remote execution capabilities support SSH-connected development machines and provisioned workspaces, with persistent terminal sessions and isolated environments for managing agents across local and remote infrastructure.

What is Briefkin?

Briefkin acts as an all-in-one cloud dashboard aimed at monitoring AI coding agents and automation processes. It consolidates vital information regarding progress, accomplished tasks, challenges, decisions, and important metrics from a variety of tools including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and Gemini CLI, alongside scripts and cron jobs, all systematically presented in separate project cards. The dashboard features live task checklists and real-time status updates, enabling developers to effortlessly track their work across multiple sessions, while action requests can be processed directly from the dashboard or through Telegram notifications. Users can send structured events via a comprehensive HTTP API, create personalized widgets, examine metric trends, and run scheduled routines on their local systems using their chosen agents. Additionally, a command-line installer simplifies the configuration of supported agents, skills, and hooks, enhancing the overall user experience. Briefkin targets developers and independent creators who juggle multiple agents and automation workflows. At present, the hosted service is complimentary during its open beta phase, permitting users to fully explore its extensive features at no charge. As the platform continues to develop, it anticipates that user feedback will be instrumental in guiding its future improvements and capabilities, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of its audience. This focus on user-driven evolution highlights Briefkin's commitment to providing a responsive and adaptive tool for modern developers.
