What is Fig?

Fig bolsters the resilience of Security Operations for modern SOC teams, enabling them to navigate transitions without falling prey to disruptions. While transformations can threaten a SOC’s operational integrity, they can also become a powerful asset; Fig guarantees that both detection and response systems remain functional even amidst changes and intentional adjustments. Drift, which occurs when unintended modifications from upstream sources interfere with detection processes and automations, can leave teams without alerts or direction, leading to prolonged and challenging efforts to diagnose and fix issues. Furthermore, planned updates, such as improvements in SecOps and infrastructure projects, often advance at a deliberate pace to mitigate risks to production systems. To tackle these obstacles, Fig provides teams with tools to detect drift, allowing them to identify when a detection or response fails, while also offering drift repair capabilities that reveal the root cause, suggest solutions, run tests, and enable deployment after receiving approval. Additionally, change modeling features permit teams to simulate proposed changes and assess their prospective impacts before they are executed in a live environment. This all-encompassing strategy guarantees that SOC teams can adeptly manage the intricacies of change, enhancing both their confidence and operational efficiency in the face of evolving challenges. Ultimately, Fig empowers SOC teams not only to respond to change but to leverage it as an opportunity for growth and improvement.

What is CloudKnit?

CloudKnit serves as an innovative open-source platform for progressive delivery, tailored specifically for the administration of cloud environments. It boasts intuitive dashboards that aid users in visualizing and monitoring these environments effectively. Users have the ability to articulate their entire environments using a simple and clear YAML format, embracing a declarative configuration approach. This method enables organizations to provision their environments efficiently, detect and correct any discrepancies, and safely dismantle resources that are no longer needed. The platform incorporates a control plane that diligently supervises the state of the environment, ensuring the proper management of resource dependencies while also facilitating drift detection and reconciliation. Additionally, the Environment as Code (EaC) abstraction enhances the integration of cloud-native tools, making the overall process significantly more efficient. With CloudKnit, users are empowered with a robust tool that not only improves the management of their cloud environments but also fosters better organization and operational agility. This comprehensive capability positions CloudKnit as a vital asset for teams looking to optimize their cloud infrastructure management.
