What is Intent?

Intent is a public beta desktop space designed specifically for specification-driven development and the management of multiple AI agents, enabling developers to plan, execute, and improve complex coding projects through coordinated efforts of synchronized agents. At the core of its functionality are dynamic specifications that allow teams to define their project needs while the agents perform tasks and consistently update the specifications to reflect actual outcomes. This platform creates a unified workspace where various agents can work concurrently without overlapping, alleviating the challenges of juggling multiple terminals, branches, or scattered prompts. Powered by Augment’s Context Engine, each agent has an in-depth understanding of the complete codebase, ensuring consistency throughout the planning, execution, and testing stages. Intent supports cutting-edge models and gives developers the flexibility to choose and combine them based on task complexity, whether for architectural design, rapid iteration, or comprehensive code analysis. By optimizing these workflows, Intent seeks to boost both productivity and teamwork among development groups. Additionally, it fosters an environment where innovation can thrive, offering a seamless experience that enhances the overall coding journey.

What is FlowRunner?

FlowRunner distinguishes itself as a visual platform for workflow automation that incorporates native AI agent orchestration, enabling agents to carry out workflows autonomously while also allowing for pauses to obtain essential human feedback. What makes FlowRunner particularly unique is its innovative oversight mechanism; in contrast to many platforms that consider approval merely a step in the workflow, FlowRunner allows agents to contact humans as callable resources throughout the execution process. It skillfully collects the relevant context and available options, then reaches out to a specified person via email, Slack, WhatsApp, or phone, seamlessly continuing the workflow once a choice is made. Notably, a workflow can be paused for as long as a year, which means that urgent decisions, such as those needing three days, are not constrained by a strict deadline. Moreover, features such as audit trails, role-based access control (RBAC), and service level agreement (SLA) tracking are accessible from the mid-tier package, rather than being limited to custom enterprise agreements, and users can also obtain a business associate agreement (BAA). Each subscription tier supports unlimited users, unlimited workflows, and complete access to the integration catalog, ensuring that there are no restrictions based on user count or connectors. The billing system is designed around the number of workflow runs instead of the individual steps taken, providing a clear and straightforward pricing structure. Agents can also make use of their own AI provider keys without incurring extra inference costs. Additionally, users have the option to select between cloud-hosted and self-hosted solutions, which offers the necessary adaptability to accommodate diverse operational requirements, thus enhancing the platform's overall versatility.
