What is MultiMac?

MultiMac is a native macOS application that enables users to control multiple Macs with a single keyboard and mouse over a shared local network. By simply moving the cursor across screen edges, users can effortlessly switch between connected computers, while customizable clipboard settings facilitate the sharing of text and images. This application does not require users to have shared Apple accounts and allows for tailored access controls on each device. The Premium version of MultiMac introduces advanced functionalities, including screen sharing, access to remote application windows, and file and folder transfers; users can try these features for 30 days before needing a Premium subscription, although basic functionalities like keyboard, mouse, and clipboard sharing remain free. MultiMac is designed to work with both Intel and Apple silicon Macs running macOS 12.3 or later. Furthermore, users can opt for a one-time purchase of a lifetime Premium license, which provides uninterrupted access to enhanced features without ongoing fees. This capability makes MultiMac a practical choice for anyone seeking efficient connectivity between various macOS devices. With its ease of use and comprehensive features, it stands out as a valuable tool for multitasking across multiple computers.

What is Apple Dictation?

Apple Dictation is a built-in feature in macOS that enables users to input text vocally in any application that accepts text entry. After activating the feature, users can start it by using the Microphone key, a custom keyboard shortcut, or by choosing Start Dictation, and they can end it by pressing the Escape key, the same shortcut, or the Microphone key once more. For Apple silicon Mac users, it is possible to continue typing while using dictation; the feature will resume listening once the user stops typing. Users can also give voice commands to add emoji, punctuation, new lines, and paragraphs, with the system automatically inserting commas, periods, and question marks in supported languages. Dictation can accommodate text of any length and will automatically stop after 30 seconds of silence. If macOS encounters uncertainty with a word, it highlights the text for users to select an alternative or correct it manually. Furthermore, users can activate multiple Dictation languages and switch between them seamlessly while speaking, along with the option to choose their desired microphone or let macOS select one automatically. This versatility not only enhances productivity but also significantly improves accessibility across various macOS applications, making it an invaluable tool for users.
