What is OneDev?

OneDev is an all-encompassing, open-source DevOps platform that integrates Git repository management, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, kanban boards, and package registries into one cohesive interface. Users can effortlessly create CI/CD jobs utilizing a simple GUI that includes features such as typed parameters, matrix jobs, logic reuse, and efficient cache management. The platform includes built-in registries for multiple package types, such as Docker, NPM, Maven, NuGet, and PyPi, which streamlines the process of package management. Moreover, OneDev facilitates agile methodologies by enabling iterative and progressive issue tracking through defined iterations. With its integrated tools for code search and navigation, alongside Renovate for automatic dependency updates, OneDev enhances the overall development workflow. Its RESTful API adds another layer of flexibility, accommodating a variety of applications. Designed for easy installation and maintenance, OneDev ensures high performance and scalability, catering to the needs of different development teams. The active involvement of a diverse community in its ongoing development emphasizes its dedication to continuous improvement and robust user support. This collaborative effort also fosters an environment where users can contribute their feedback and suggestions, further shaping the tool’s evolution.

What is GForge?

GForge is a unified DevOps and application lifecycle management platform designed to consolidate the tools software teams use to plan, build, review, document, and release products. Instead of separating project management, repositories, documentation, messaging, and delivery pipelines across different vendors, GForge provides these capabilities through a shared platform and data model. Its ticketing system connects requirements and design information with subtasks, development activity, code changes, and reviews so teams can maintain context throughout a project. Agile development features provide support for sprints, releases, backlogs, roadmaps, planning boards, and burndown tracking without requiring a separate planning product. Developers can host and manage both Git and SVN repositories, perform inline code reviews, and automatically associate development discussions with relevant tickets. CI/CD functionality connects build activity with projects and tickets and can work with Jenkins without requiring teams to independently configure project context for every job. Wiki pages can incorporate live project information such as tracker queries, build statuses, and burndown charts, helping documentation remain connected to active development data. Document management capabilities provide versioning, edit controls, content search, and storage alongside the projects, tickets, and repositories that files relate to. GForge also offers Flow AI and command-line integrations that allow administrator-approved AI models, Claude Code, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible tools to interact with actual project information according to existing access permissions. Deployment options include GForge-hosted SaaS, customer-managed installations, and fully air-gapped environments for defense, aerospace, government, regulated industries, and other organizations with demanding security requirements.
