What is Opsian?

Performance diagnostics for applications, systems, and the JVM are offered to both development and operations teams, supported by the knowledge of performance experts. These detailed reports empower teams to accurately identify the root causes of performance issues. Techniques such as CPU profiling are employed to locate inefficient code segments, while wallclock profiling reveals problems associated with Garbage Collection delays or memory usage. Moreover, allocation profiling helps pinpoint methods that exhibit excessive memory allocation behavior. JVM diagnostics are specifically aimed at identifying challenges related to Garbage Collection, including prolonged pause times and frequent collection cycles. A set of pre-configured health checks and dashboards is available to highlight common JVM performance concerns regarding Garbage Collection and resource management. These health checks can be tailored to send alerts to your teams, enabling them to address potential issues proactively before they worsen. In addition, intuitive, browser-based real-time dashboards can be effortlessly shared among team members, promoting collaboration and prompt action on performance issues. Ultimately, this strategy not only simplifies the diagnostic process but also significantly improves the proactive oversight of system performance, ensuring that teams are always equipped to handle emerging challenges efficiently. This collaborative approach lays the groundwork for continuous improvement and optimization in performance management.

What is Cortex XCOR?

Palo Alto Networks Cortex XCOR is an enterprise observability platform designed to monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance and reliability of applications, infrastructure, and digital services. Built on technology from Chronosphere, the platform combines AI-powered incident investigation, conversational operations, and scalable telemetry management within a unified environment. Its observability capabilities collect and correlate metrics, logs, traces, and events across cloud-native applications, microservices, infrastructure components, and user-facing systems. XCOR Operator provides a natural language interface that allows engineers to investigate incidents, explore telemetry, construct queries, configure alerts, and generate dashboard panels. AI Investigations uses automated reasoning to analyze operational signals, identify relationships between system components, and isolate probable causes of performance degradation or service failures. Operational Fabric provides the contextual foundation for autonomous workflows by combining real-time system topology, historical operational knowledge, and previous user interactions. Application monitoring features include automatic service discovery, dependency mapping, distributed tracing, service-level objective tracking, and real-time error budget analysis. Real user monitoring captures frontend interactions, page load performance, and application errors, while synthetic monitoring helps teams evaluate the availability and responsiveness of digital services. Infrastructure observability connects application behavior with underlying cloud and computing resources to support troubleshooting across complex distributed environments. The Optimization Engine evaluates telemetry usage and applies centralized rules for dropping, sampling, or aggregating data, while configurable consumption budgets help control monitoring expenses.
