What is PAVER?

PAVER is a pavement maintenance management system that was developed in the late 1970s to assist the Department of Defense (DOD) in managing the care and repair of its extensive pavement infrastructure. Utilizing inspection data and a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) that ranges from zero, indicating complete failure, to 100, indicating optimal condition, the system effectively assesses pavement conditions and predicts future maintenance needs. The PCI for airport pavements was established as an ASTM standard in 1993 (D5340-10), while standards for roads and parking lots were adopted in 1999 (D6433-09). PAVERâ„¢ conducts a variety of analyses that facilitate the strategic allocation of maintenance and repair resources. Its development has been supported by organizations such as the US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, and Federal Highway Administration, highlighting its significance. Additionally, Colorado State University offers training and technological support for non-DOD users, which broadens its availability. The software also allows users to generate graphical displays of individual concrete panels during inspections of concrete pavements, thereby enhancing the clarity of reporting. The importance of PAVER cannot be overstated, as it is instrumental in sustaining pavement quality and ensuring the efficient use of resources across multiple sectors, ultimately contributing to safer and more reliable transportation infrastructure.

What is Materials 4D?

Materials 4D is a cutting-edge graphical takeoff system designed for contractors, integrating straightforward data entry with adaptable reporting to significantly increase the speed of estimating construction materials. It enables users to import planning data from Sitework 4D or to manually enter information from TIF, PDF, or CAD files, allowing for automatic calculations of areas, lengths, and quantities, which are subsequently transformed into various measurements such as yards of concrete, tons of asphalt, lengths of guard rail, and counts for lighting fixtures as well as other cost-related elements. Additionally, Materials 4D offers comprehensive reports alongside the option to export spreadsheet data organized by structure, material type, and construction phase, while also producing detailed geo-referenced graphical reports that can be conveniently shared via email in PDF format, visualized on Google Earth, or accessed in the field through mobile devices running iPhone or Android. The system is designed not just for efficiency but also for user-friendliness, making it accessible to contractors of all levels. With tailored, expert training from AGTE, you can quickly become proficient in using Materials 4D, mastering its features in just a few hours and equipping yourself with practical skills that will enhance both your efficiency and accuracy in project estimating. This training provides invaluable insights that can help you apply the system effectively in real-world scenarios, ultimately leading to better project outcomes.
