What is Panel Planner?

Panel Planner is an exceptional solution for designing and producing detailed instrument panels tailored for both large twin-engine aircraft and experimental variants. This versatile software caters to a wide array of users, such as aircraft owners, homebuilders, repair stations, flight departments, designers, and manufacturers, making the design process straightforward and accessible. Users can create panel designs independently, although a basic understanding of CAD is necessary to bring those designs to physical fruition. For individuals without CAD skills, there are recommended companies that can assist with the fabrication process. With Panel Planner, you can design and build instrument panels much more quickly than traditional methods allow. The user-friendly interface lets you drag and drop vibrant, photo-realistic instruments, avionics, and cockpit controls directly onto a panel template, simplifying the design experience. Furthermore, the software diligently tracks total expenses, overall weight, and maximum current usage, while generating a detailed equipment list. It also creates full-size templates for hole-cutting and colorful mock-ups that can be printed on a standard desktop printer or plotter. By employing this innovative tool, users can enhance their workflow, ensuring both precision and efficiency throughout each project, making it an invaluable asset for anyone in the aviation industry.

What is Deos?

Deosâ„¢, created by DDC-I, is a real-time operating system (RTOS) focused on safety and rigorously verified in alignment with DO-178C/ED-12C Design Assurance Level A (DAL A) standards for avionics use. This RTOS is compatible with ARINC 653 APEX and employs rate monotonic scheduling (RMS), specifically engineered to fulfill the FACE Safety Base Profile requirements. Since receiving its initial verification from Transport Canada in 1998, Deos has established itself as a reliable solution within the aviation sector, earning certification that permits its operation in countless aircraft. Over the last twenty years, it has continually adapted, integrating new processors and features to showcase its versatility and robustness. Additionally, Deos has successfully passed audits from numerous global certification bodies such as the FAA, ENAC, JAA, EASA, and CAAC, along with assessments by designated engineering representatives from various avionics and airframe manufacturers, guaranteeing that it remains in compliance with the highest industry standards. This ongoing commitment to development and verification not only reinforces its reliability but also positions Deos as an essential element in the landscape of modern aviation safety systems. Furthermore, its ability to evolve alongside technological advancements ensures that it remains at the forefront of safety-critical software solutions.
