Excalibur View is a specialized viewer for construction drawings, as well as markup and takeoff software, created by a structural steel estimator who is actively engaged in fieldwork.
The markups produced are standard PDF annotations, which means that any annotated sets can be easily opened in software like Bluebeam Revu or Adobe, while maintaining all original formatting and placement. Additionally, it allows for importing Revu .bpx profiles and .btx tool sets, including their associated tools, custom columns, and unit weights for added functionality.
This program enables users to accurately measure length, area, count, volume, and angles, all at the specified scale; each measurement tool includes its own unit weights, facilitating tonnage calculations during beam takeoffs. Its Shop List feature effectively transforms marked items into a cut list, providing information on stock lengths, saw kerfs, and leftover drops, thus streamlining the workflow.
