What is Prism?

Prism is Navier AI's innovative desktop solution designed specifically for engineering teams in hardware, mechanical, aerospace, and other fields. This all-encompassing platform merges parametric CAD, 3D visualization, physics simulations, code editing, and reporting tools, all seamlessly integrated into one application. Users can describe a part or project through natural language, create or modify CAD models, and utilize AI agents to manage physics solvers, write scripts, analyze results, and generate visual outputs like plots, dashboards, and reports. The extensive range of solvers includes 12 different families, featuring prominent choices such as OpenFOAM, SU2, CalculiX, Elmer, Project Chrono, and OpenModelica, along with Navier AI’s own Ferro solver. Engineers can effortlessly import STEP files, assess scripts, evaluate meshes, and input parameters for solvers while running multiple agents at once to explore various design possibilities. Prism supports Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, allowing local solver workflows to be executed directly on the user's device. The application requires an internet connection for its agent, which sends processed information back to Navier AI’s backend model for further analysis. Furthermore, users have the choice to harness cloud computing resources for executing approved solver tasks, significantly boosting flexibility and efficiency in their engineering workflows. This blend of capabilities not only enables engineers to streamline their processes but also enhances the quality of their design results, making it an essential tool for modern engineering challenges.

What is Calculix?

CalculiX enables users to efficiently create, analyze, and process finite element models. It incorporates an interactive 3D pre-and post-processor that employs the OpenGL API to enhance visualization capabilities. The solver within CalculiX is adept at managing both linear and non-linear calculations, providing solutions for a variety of static, dynamic, and thermal issues. By utilizing the Abaqus input format, users can easily integrate commercial pre-processors into their workflow. The pre-processor is also capable of producing mesh-related data that is compatible with various software such as Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, Code-Aster, and several free computational fluid dynamics tools including Dolfyn, Duns, ISAAC, and OpenFOAM. Additionally, a user-friendly step reader is part of the system. The program offers options for external CAD interfaces, further enhancing its functionality. Designed for versatility, CalculiX operates across multiple Unix platforms, including Linux and Irix, as well as on MS Windows, thereby making it accessible to a diverse user base. This wide-ranging compatibility ensures that many users can benefit from the powerful features of CalculiX, regardless of their preferred operating system.
