What is Proofline?

Proofline is a cloud-based platform designed for code reviews that evaluates GitHub pull requests by analyzing data from deployment environments. It considers multiple aspects, including code paths, configurations, permissions, dependencies, resource limits, and deployment specifics to identify possible production risks before any merging occurs. The insights generated by Proofline elucidate the reasons behind failures and reference both code and environmental data. When there is a lack of evidence, whether it is outdated or simply unavailable, it is labeled as an assessment gap instead of an affirmation that a change is secure. Engineers can access these assessments through the Proofline console, which enables them to connect coding agents for tracking review statuses or sharing findings easily. The service is compatible with a range of platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, Kubernetes, Terraform, OpenTofu, Docker Compose, and Backstage. Furthermore, Proofline comes with integrations for GitHub Actions, a command-line interface (CLI), MCP access, an HTTP API, and software development kits (SDKs) for both TypeScript and Python to streamline the review process. Importantly, connections to infrastructure are preserved in a read-only capacity, allowing teams to selectively manage which repositories and environments to integrate and how to address any identified issues. This organized methodology not only promotes effective management of potential risks but also fosters transparent communication amongst team members regarding the quality and safety of the code. Ultimately, by employing Proofline, teams can enhance their code review processes and bolster their confidence in production deployments.

What is Ellipsis?

Ellipsis is an AI-powered development assistant focused on automated code reviews and intelligent bug detection. It reviews every commit in a pull request to surface logical errors, style violations, and maintainability issues. Ellipsis operates directly inside GitHub, making adoption fast and frictionless. Developers can ask questions, request fixes, or assign tasks through simple comments. The platform generates tested code changes without making unauthorized commits. Ellipsis supports natural-language style guides to enforce consistent coding standards. It continuously improves its feedback based on developer preferences. Built-in changelog and summary generation saves engineering time. Ellipsis is SOC 2 certified and does not retain source code after processing. Public repositories can use Ellipsis for free. Paid plans provide unlimited usage per developer seat. Ellipsis helps teams move faster while maintaining trust and code quality.
