What is Proplanner?

Clients typically leverage Assembly Planner to directly import the engineering bill of materials (eBOM) from their product data management (PDM) or product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, accompanied by an Engineering Change Order that details essential information about the modifications. Subsequently, Assembly Planner allows manufacturing engineers to juxtapose the eBOM with any existing manufacturing bill of materials (mBOM), enabling them to pinpoint necessary adjustments in processes, shop floor instructions, tooling, and logistics. These adjustments often take place within the context of one or more Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO), which outline specifics like Effective Date, Series, or Serial numbers pertinent to the changes being made. After thoroughly updating and verifying the mBOM and Bill of Process (BOP) data in Assembly Planner, the finalized information is disseminated to systems such as ERP, logistics, and the Shop Floor MES/Andon. The accompanying diagram clearly delineates Proplanner solutions in blue, while the integrations with ERP and PDM are shown in yellow, providing a visual representation of the components involved. This integration promotes efficient communication among various departments, thereby ensuring that all parties remain informed and synchronized with the latest developments. Ultimately, this streamlined process enhances overall operational efficiency and reduces the likelihood of errors during implementation.

What is Andon Tool?

The Andon Tool is an innovative web application aimed at improving communication and efficiency among manufacturing teams on the shop floor. Employees can effortlessly submit requests for production assistance from any internet-enabled device, which are then displayed on live boards in their respective departments; these requests can be addressed by assigned responders, while also keeping a detailed log of their status, responses, and completion timelines. Supervisors are equipped to track request activities through comprehensive reports that span various plants, departments, and work zones. Furthermore, the platform includes production schedule boards that depict employee shifts and job templates, daily KPI boards that monitor performance using a color-coded system, television dashboards, and extensive downtime logs that classify waste and facilitate Pareto analysis. Paid features are also offered, such as Skill Matrix tools for managing certifications and work instructions, along with the Continuous Improvement Board (C.I.B.) that fosters ongoing enhancement methodologies like the 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, PDCA, and A3 reporting. This adaptable tool caters to a diverse array of users within the manufacturing industry, including floor operators, responders, supervisors, plant managers, and teams dedicated to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration and workflow optimization among all parties involved. Ultimately, the Andon Tool not only aids organizations in refining their operations but also significantly boosts overall productivity and performance. Additionally, its user-friendly interface and real-time capabilities make it an essential resource for modern manufacturing environments.
