What is RAFT?

RAFT employs a scriptless test automation framework that utilizes a set of reusable generic keywords, enabling testing across web, mobile, and API platforms. By decoupling scripting tasks from the test case mapper sheet, it becomes user-friendly for both product and development teams, regardless of their experience in test automation. The framework is equipped with a straightforward dictionary of reusable keywords that can be tailored for different projects. Furthermore, it incorporates API test automation capabilities through the use of REST Assured and HTTP client libraries, enhancing its functionality. RAFT also performs accessibility audits on web pages, ensuring compliance with standards such as WCAG 2.0, Section 508, and Google’s accessibility guidelines, which align with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). While it lacks direct support for accessibility testing itself, the framework provides a tested and ready-to-use system that streamlines the evaluation of ADA compliance through comprehensive audits. This adaptability and robust feature set render RAFT an essential asset for teams in pursuit of efficient and effective testing methodologies, ultimately leading to higher quality software delivery. Additionally, the user-friendly nature of RAFT facilitates collaboration among various stakeholders, making it a preferred choice in diverse development environments.

What is HL7 FHIR?

FHIR is described as a 'RESTful' framework, which corresponds with the broader industry understanding of REST principles. However, it mainly operates at Level 2 of the REST Maturity Model in its fundamental specifications, while full Level 3 compliance can be achieved through the integration of extensions. As a standardized framework, FHIR depends on the consistency of resource structures and interfaces, which some critics might argue is at odds with REST's foundational concepts; nevertheless, this standardization is essential for ensuring effective interoperability among diverse systems. Each distinct "resource type" comes with a specific set of interactions, enabling meticulous resource management. Applications that claim to comply with this framework identify as "RESTful FHIR," highlighting their commitment to these established standards. Moreover, within this RESTful architecture, transactions are conducted directly on server resources through HTTP requests and responses, reinforcing the framework's functionality and integrity. This organized methodology not only boosts interoperability but also simplifies the development process for applications leveraging FHIR, ultimately leading to more efficient healthcare solutions. Additionally, the clarity provided by FHIR's structured approach helps developers focus on creating robust applications that can easily integrate with existing health information systems.
