What is RB2011UiAS-RM?

The RB2011 series is an affordable multi-port solution tailored for indoor use, boasting a compact 1U rackmount design that includes five Ethernet ports, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB interface, and a touch-sensitive LCD, all driven by a 600MHz CPU and 128MB of RAM utilizing RouterOS L5. This series provides multiple configurations and case options, allowing users to choose what best suits their needs. Over the course of fifteen years, RouterOS has grown into a robust operating system with comprehensive features, including dynamic routing, hotspot management, firewall functions, MPLS, VPN capabilities, advanced quality of service, load balancing, and real-time monitoring. Among the models, the RouterBOARD 2011UiAS-RM distinguishes itself from the RB2011L series by offering an extra RJ45 serial port and the enhanced memory capacity of 128MB, as well as the advanced RouterOS L5 license and an SFP cage for additional connectivity options. Moreover, the inclusion of a touchscreen LCD not only streamlines the setup process but also enhances the overall user experience, making it easier to manage various networking tasks effectively. This series effectively bridges affordability and advanced networking features, catering to diverse user requirements.

What is FiberBox Plus?

The recently introduced Fiber Box Plus can be assessed from two different angles. On one hand, it marks a considerable upgrade from earlier models, featuring an advanced ARM CPU, expanded RAM, and four 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports that facilitate swift and dependable connectivity, free from the limitations usually linked with Ethernet, all while remaining cost-effective. Furthermore, it is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port intended for management purposes or PoE-in power supply, complemented by a 2-pin terminal and a standard DC jack, which offers users three flexible power supply alternatives. With support for a wide input voltage range of 24-57V, this device excels in efficiency, drawing only 7W of peak power when not connected to any peripherals. On the other hand, the Fiber Box Plus can also be seen as a budget-friendly substitute for the high-performance netFiber 9, delivering considerable savings for those who do not need the additional Gigabit SFP ports. Additionally, it features the same outstanding Marvell 98DX226S switch-chip, ensuring that performance is not compromised. Ultimately, the Fiber Box Plus presents an appealing choice for both cost-conscious buyers and individuals in search of dependable technological enhancements, making it a versatile option in today’s market.
