What is Randoli?

Randoli functions as a holistic observability and cost management platform utilizing OpenTelemetry, specifically tailored for Kubernetes, multicloud, hybrid, and AI/ML environments. By integrating crucial aspects such as infrastructure health, application performance, logs, metrics, traces, incidents, and cloud spending into one central interface, it enables teams to transition from multiple tools to a cohesive perspective on system performance. Its federated design smartly separates the control plane from the data plane, which allows for localized telemetry analysis, extraction of relevant signals, and on-demand data access during investigations, all while reducing ingestion and egress and maintaining data sovereignty. Randoli effectively monitors a variety of components, including clusters, nodes, pods, workloads, services, dependencies, latency, errors, throughput, and resource utilization across various platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenShift, and local environments. Furthermore, it employs OpenTelemetry and eBPF for seamless, low-overhead instrumentation, which not only improves filtering and enriches telemetry but also facilitates real-time signal correlation, thereby enhancing overall observability. This cutting-edge methodology not only simplifies operational insights but also equips teams with the tools they need to proactively oversee performance and manage costs effectively within their cloud infrastructures. By adopting such an integrated approach, organizations can foster greater agility and responsiveness in their operations.

What is Cortex XCOR?

Palo Alto Networks Cortex XCOR is an enterprise observability platform designed to monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance and reliability of applications, infrastructure, and digital services. Built on technology from Chronosphere, the platform combines AI-powered incident investigation, conversational operations, and scalable telemetry management within a unified environment. Its observability capabilities collect and correlate metrics, logs, traces, and events across cloud-native applications, microservices, infrastructure components, and user-facing systems. XCOR Operator provides a natural language interface that allows engineers to investigate incidents, explore telemetry, construct queries, configure alerts, and generate dashboard panels. AI Investigations uses automated reasoning to analyze operational signals, identify relationships between system components, and isolate probable causes of performance degradation or service failures. Operational Fabric provides the contextual foundation for autonomous workflows by combining real-time system topology, historical operational knowledge, and previous user interactions. Application monitoring features include automatic service discovery, dependency mapping, distributed tracing, service-level objective tracking, and real-time error budget analysis. Real user monitoring captures frontend interactions, page load performance, and application errors, while synthetic monitoring helps teams evaluate the availability and responsiveness of digital services. Infrastructure observability connects application behavior with underlying cloud and computing resources to support troubleshooting across complex distributed environments. The Optimization Engine evaluates telemetry usage and applies centralized rules for dropping, sampling, or aggregating data, while configurable consumption budgets help control monitoring expenses.
