What is RobotWorks?

RobotWorks is a CNC-oriented software tailored for offline programming of industrial robots and operates as an add-in for SOLIDWORKS, enabling interaction with CAD elements like edges and faces in assemblies. This innovative platform facilitates the design of parts, tools, fixtures, and work-cell components within an integrated and user-friendly environment. Users can automatically produce paths that correspond with CAD features, such as curves and surfaces, while also simulating the movements of the robot and its tools, identifying possible collisions, and adhering to joint limits and external axes. The software adeptly handles offsets and customizable frames, allowing for motion across different coordinate systems. Furthermore, it can import point data from CNC programs and various other formats, transforming this data into functional robot programming. RobotWorks is capable of translating and outputting robot programs that are compatible with a diverse range of industrial robot formats, presenting itself as an economical and intuitive option for users due to its swift learning curve. Among its standout features is the capability to seamlessly generate a "Carry Part" path, which enables the handling of components with respect to a fixed tool, thereby highlighting its adaptability across multiple robotic applications. This flexibility makes RobotWorks an invaluable tool for enhancing productivity and efficiency in automated manufacturing processes.

What is COMPASS?

A multitude of elements, including rock properties, torque and drag, costs, and the locations of existing wells, can create obstacles and affect the optimal drilling trajectory. Designed specifically for both oil companies and directional drilling service providers, COMPASS™ is recognized as the premier software for planning directional well paths, overseeing survey information, and performing anti-collision evaluations, empowering engineers to accurately guide the drill bit into the productive pay zone. Regardless of the challenges faced, COMPASS's capabilities in directional path planning can significantly improve drilling trajectories by taking into account factors like cost, torque and drag, or collision avoidance. For infill drilling scenarios, the software's well path planner can seamlessly recommend the best well for sidetracking, which can greatly minimize the duration spent on costly trial and error methods. Users are also able to perform customized anti-collision scans interactively during the planning phase, surveying, or when making future projections. Moreover, the software includes features for alerts and automated email notifications, ensuring that users stay updated and informed about essential developments. This robust combination of functionalities not only streamlines the decision-making process for engineers but also enhances overall drilling efficiency and safety in challenging environments. With these innovative tools, engineers can confidently navigate complex drilling projects with greater precision.
