Roadbase acts as an AI-driven planning tool that focuses on facilitating the creation of quotes for creative freelancers and agencies. Users can either paste a project brief or upload a PDF to instantly generate a customizable initial draft, which encompasses a project summary, phases, tasks, assigned roles, estimated hours, timelines, assumptions, and justifications for the provided estimates. Teams are then able to evaluate and adjust this draft, adding their own costs associated with roles, billable rates, overhead, direct expenditures, contingency reserves, and profit goals to create the final quote. A visual timeline feature effectively integrates all elements such as tasks, timelines, roles, hours, and pricing within the same project framework. Once the detailed plan has been finalized, users have the option to export the reviewed work breakdown, roadmap, and cost overview into a proposal PDF. After gaining approval, the project can be moved into a user-friendly Kanban workspace, which allows for task assignments, comments, time tracking by both project and task, and analysis of actual hours versus initial estimates.
