What is Species360 ZIMS?
Species360 is a non-profit entity that provides access to the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS). This software is tailored for organizations that manage animal populations in human care and encompasses various modules for husbandry, veterinary services, and studbook management. Users can track a wide range of data, including welfare indicators, enclosure details, medical care, enrichment and training activities, breeding and pedigrees, animal transfers, permits, environmental and water quality measurements, feeding schedules, and more. With over 1,200 members spanning 97 countries, Species360 sets the global benchmark for animal recordkeeping. The organization receives endorsements and support from prominent entities such as the World Association of Zoos and Aquaria (WAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). Furthermore, Species360 collaborates with 45 other zoological organizations, including the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA), and several others, strengthening its global network in animal management efforts. What is Azore CFD?
