What is Sprites?

Sprites by Fly.io is a platform for creating stateful sandbox environments that run arbitrary code inside hardware-isolated Linux computers. A Sprite is designed to answer the question of where to safely run a blob of code, whether that code comes from an AI agent, a developer workflow, a user-uploaded binary, or an application process. Unlike short-lived stateless sandboxes, Sprites are persistent environments that can keep files, state, and execution context across runs. The platform supports checkpoint and restore so workloads can pause, resume, and recover without rebuilding everything from scratch. Sprites use a fast directly attached NVMe filesystem for active work and continuously sync that filesystem to durable external object storage. This storage model gives developers a normal Linux disk experience while supporting durable persistence and automatic growth. Developers can install the Sprites CLI, log in, create a Sprite, run commands, and connect directly to a Sprite console. The platform also provides a REST API and language support for JavaScript, Go, Elixir, and Python. Sprites include capabilities around persistence, checkpoints, Sprite URLs, sandbox VMs, and network policy for controlling how environments run and connect. Pricing is based on actual usage across CPU hours, memory hours, hot storage, and cold storage, making it practical for bursty workloads like coding agents or lightweight web apps. By combining hardware isolation, Linux compatibility, stateful persistence, checkpointing, durable storage, APIs, and usage-based billing, Sprites gives developers a flexible execution layer for AI agents, sandboxed code, and persistent application environments.

What is Gamelabs Studio?

Gamelabs Studio stands out as a cutting-edge platform that harnesses the power of AI to create 2D game assets that are immediately ready for use in production. By simply entering text prompts or uploading reference images, users can effortlessly generate artwork, animations, and sprite sheets, making design skills unnecessary. The platform supports a diverse array of art styles, including pixel art, photorealistic imagery, and cartoon aesthetics, ensuring a cohesive look from every perspective. It excels in producing genuine pixel art at authentic pixel dimensions and facilitates the creation of smooth, loopable animations with transparent backgrounds, which can be exported in multiple formats like video, GIF, or spritesheets, while providing users with precise control over frames per second (FPS), grid layout, and padding. Moreover, Gamelabs Studio includes an extensive image editor featuring layers, a variety of blend modes, brushes, selection tools, and AI-powered generative fill functions that enhance the creative process. The platform also boasts a REST API that automates workflows and integrates with tools such as MCP, allowing AI coding assistants like Cursor to create assets seamlessly within an integrated development environment (IDE). Users can kick off their experience for free with an initial allocation of 20 credits and without any credit card requirement, while options for further usage include flexible pay-as-you-go bundles or monthly subscription models. Notably, Gamelabs Studio promotes creativity and accessibility by enabling anyone to easily engage in the creation of game assets, making it an invaluable resource for both aspiring and experienced developers alike.
