What is Supermicro MicroBlade?

The highly compact design of 3U and 6U blade servers is impressive and versatile, featuring configurations that can host up to four autonomous UP nodes within each blade. These servers are engineered to deliver exceptional power efficiency, reaching up to 86%, while also achieving a density increase of 56% compared to traditional 1U rackmount servers. Each node is capable of supporting as much as 256GB of DDR4 memory distributed across eight DIMM slots, thus ensuring optimal performance. Moreover, they are fitted with high-efficiency AC/DC power supplies that meet Platinum and Titanium standards (96%), and the inclusion of optional Battery Backup Power (BBP®) support further enhances their reliability. The design accommodates dual Intel® Xeon® processor families from the E5-2600 v4/v3 series, along with the ability to integrate four 2.5" SAS3/SATA3 drives per blade server and up to two M.2 NVMe drives in select models. A shared infrastructure for cooling, power, and networking plays a vital role in achieving the remarkable density and efficiency that blade servers are known for. Additionally, Supermicro's MicroBlade initiative promotes a resource-efficient paradigm through its Disaggregated Server Design, which allows for separate upgrades of compute modules while keeping the remaining server infrastructure intact, significantly reducing the overall cost of ownership. This forward-thinking strategy not only boosts flexibility but also empowers users to tailor their systems to adapt to changing requirements without necessitating extensive system renovations. Thus, the integration of these advanced features positions blade servers as a robust solution for modern computing demands.

What is Supermicro CloudDC?

We are pleased to present a highly adaptable rackmount system tailored for cloud data centers, this compact 2U unit is designed to house up to two double-width GPUs within a 25.5" chassis. It offers a flexible range of 4 to 12 SATA/SAS drive bays, with the option for NVMe support in certain configurations. Additionally, the system is equipped with either 2 or 4 PCI-E x16 slots and dual AIOM (OCP 3.0 superset) slots, providing superior data throughput capabilities. Enhanced security features include a secure root of trust, comprehensive memory encryption, and software guard extensions. The toolless design not only simplifies maintenance but also allows for rapid deployment, promoting ease of use. It supports a maximum of 16 DIMM slots and can accommodate up to 4TB of DDR5-4800 memory, with compatibility for Intel® Optane™ persistent memory. Users have the choice of fitting the server with either a single or dual 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, which can have a maximum TDP of 350W, or a single AMD EPYC™ 9004 series processor with a TDP of up to 400W. Furthermore, it offers up to 12 3.5" hot-swap NVMe/SATA/SAS drive bays, with optional RAID support available through RAID AOC. The system is powered by dual redundant Titanium level (96%) power supplies rated at 860W or 1200W, ensuring excellent reliability. Built to adapt to the dynamic requirements of cloud data centers, our H12 CloudDC servers leverage state-of-the-art technology to help organizations deliver cost-effective services in a competitive market while also enabling future scalability and growth.
