In 1992, we initiated the creation of software for Liberty Township, Ohio, using a DOS environment developed in QuickBasic and integrating the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet for mapping capabilities. The initial agreement presented a considerable hurdle, as we were tasked with transcribing records from an old, fragile book with faded text, a challenging endeavor that provided us with firsthand insights into the complexities of record entry. Lacking a budget for advertising and with a minimal online presence, the reputation of our software grew mainly through word of mouth, resulting in a gradual rise in users. Although I can't specify an exact number, it is believed that several hundred cemeteries have adopted our desktop and online solutions over the years.
