What is Transmit?

When working with files on servers, whether you are a developer, system administrator, contractor, or freelancer, connecting to a server for tasks like uploading, downloading, or modifying files is a common necessity. Transmit stands out due to its user-friendly interface, particularly its well-known "dual-pane" layout, which provides a noticeably quicker experience than Finder. Moreover, Transmit comes equipped with a variety of useful features, including File Sync, which enables users to easily mirror files between remote and local directories—or even between local files—at the push of a button. It also emphasizes the effective organization of your servers, facilitating rapid access when required. Additionally, with the help of Panic Sync, you can keep your server details updated across all devices, thus avoiding the frustration of repeatedly inputting server addresses. This remarkable array of features not only enhances productivity but also streamlines file management, making Transmit an invaluable resource for anyone who regularly interacts with server files. Ultimately, its combination of efficiency and ease of use solidifies Transmit's status as a must-have tool in the realm of file handling on servers.

What is AeroFTP?

AeroFTP provides a unified file management platform for teams and individuals working across multiple storage systems. Supporting over 25 protocols and cloud services, it eliminates the need to juggle separate tools for FTP servers, S3 buckets, WebDAV shares, and cloud drives. Its built-in AI assistant automates repetitive file tasks with 47 specialized tools and support for 19 AI providers including OpenAI and Anthropic. Files at rest are protected by AeroVault, an AES-256-GCM-SIV encrypted container system with Cryptomator interoperability. The included command-line client enables scripted deployments, CI/CD integration, and autonomous AI agent workflows through vault-secured credential profiles. Additional productivity features include a code editor, SSH terminal, media player, bidirectional cloud sync, and full localization in 47 languages. Linux and Windows builds are production-stable. macOS is available in beta. Free and open source under GPL-3.0 with no telemetry or data collection.
