Officially termed the Virtual Terminal/Application Link and Launch, VTALL replicates the aesthetics and functionalities of a traditional multi-line office phone while functioning as an H.323 terminal on a personal computer. It facilitates H.323 gateway capabilities for smooth connections to the PSTN and offers gatekeeper support for user registration. Users can handle as many as 255 lines and benefit from the convenience of 10 private line appearances. Moreover, it supports up to 30 simultaneous point-to-point voice communication sessions via H.323 technology, making it highly versatile. Additional functionalities such as call recording and detailed logging significantly improve its practicality. The Hoot-n-Holler feature allows for the mixing of up to 7 audio feeds, while the Broadcast function enables scheduled setups for automated channel management, allowing for real-time listening or recording with later playback options.
