What is VladG Limiter No6?

This plugin is equipped with five unique modules: an RMS compressor, a peak limiter, a high-frequency limiter, a clipper, and a true peak limiter, all engineered for superior signal processing in mastering tasks. It provides users with both brickwall and soft limiting options, each featuring a selection of timing settings that cater to various requirements. Users can opt for either M/S or multiband modes, and the plugin accommodates optional 4x oversampling along with true inter-sample peak (ISP) limiting. Moreover, it includes analog-style indicators that visually display the signal limiting levels within each module, with the scales measured in dB, where the far-right position signifies 0 dB of limiting. While utilizing the plugin, some host applications might encounter challenges when adjusting parameters using the mouse wheel. Additionally, in the Windows version, it is essential for the plugin window to be active for the mouse wheel adjustments to work, which can be done by clicking on the header or any area in the plugin's background. This combination of features not only enhances usability but also elevates the overall mastering experience, making the plugin an indispensable asset for audio professionals. Its thoughtful design ensures that users can achieve precise control and high-quality results efficiently.

What is Mixbus?

Among the vast array of digital audio workstations on the market, one truly distinguishes itself with a design that emulates the analog style associated with Harrison, emphasizing an integration of form, function, and auditory excellence. In contrast to traditional DAWs that are strictly digital, MIXBUS is deeply rooted in Harrison's remarkable 40-year history of producing legendary albums and major film soundtracks, including iconic works like Thriller, Graceland, and Spider-Man. As the pioneering comprehensive DAW to provide authentic analog-style mixing features, Mixbus adds a unique character to the music production landscape. Harrison boasts an impressive history in audio innovation; in the mid-1980s, the company was at the forefront of developing fully-automated, digitally-controlled analog mixer technology, which garnered widespread adoption among top film-mixing studios around the world. With the rise of digital technology, a significant challenge arose: to transform the analog "processor" into a digital format without compromising the cherished control surface that professionals loved. The request from film mixers was unmistakable—they desired a digital environment that mirrored the feel and sound of the analog mixers they had relied on for previous projects. This necessity drove us to create a digital audio engine that not only functioned flawlessly but also captured the warm sound quality characteristic of an analog mixer. This dedication to authenticity not only differentiates MIXBUS but also honors Harrison's lasting impact on the audio industry, ensuring that both new and seasoned producers can produce music that resonates deeply. As a result, MIXBUS stands as a testament to the successful fusion of analog sensibilities with modern technology, appealing to a diverse range of users.
