What is Writerside?

The newly redesigned ultimate development environment is tailored specifically for creating documentation. By offering a unified authoring platform, it eliminates the necessity for various scattered tools. Equipped with features such as a built-in Git interface, an integrated build system, automated testing functionalities, and a customizable layout ready for immediate application, this environment allows you to concentrate on what truly matters: your content. It seamlessly integrates the advantages of Markdown with the accuracy of semantic markup. You can opt to use a single format or enrich Markdown with semantic elements, Mermaid diagrams, and LaTeX math expressions, providing remarkable flexibility at your disposal. To uphold high standards in the quality and integrity of your documentation, over 100 real-time inspections are available directly within the editor, alongside tests during live previews and builds. The live preview function gives you an accurate representation of how your audience will interact with the documentation. You can conveniently preview a single page within the IDE or view the entire help website in your browser without initiating a build process. Furthermore, repurposing content is a breeze, whether it involves small snippets or entire sections from your table of contents, which ensures both efficiency and consistency throughout your documentation workflow. This cutting-edge environment not only streamlines your processes but also significantly boosts productivity, making documentation creation simpler and more effective than ever before. Ultimately, it empowers users to focus on crafting exceptional content with unparalleled ease.

What is Blume?

Blume is an open-source framework centered around Markdown, aimed at facilitating the creation of production-ready documentation sites with minimal setup. Each project resides in a dedicated folder filled with Markdown files, which enables the automatic generation of navigation, and features such as search, theming, and Open Graph images are readily available, alongside advanced customization options for those who desire more control. The framework includes more than 30 components and Markdown extensions that are aware of themes, allowing users to add various elements like callouts, cards, steps, tabs, file trees, package-install tabs, code groups, Mermaid diagrams, and KaTeX math without the hassle of managing imports or JSX. Furthermore, Blume provides functionality to produce interactive references for OpenAPI and AsyncAPI, showcasing endpoints, schemas, and a live “Try it” playground, while also integrating a built-in changelog that can be sourced from Markdown content or GitHub Releases. Content can be gathered from local Markdown files, remote repositories, CMS platforms, Notion, or tailored backends, which allows for a smooth integration of diverse content into one cohesive website. It is also designed to meet the needs of both human users and AI, as every page can be accessed in its raw Markdown form, indexed through llms.txt, and queried via an integrated AI assistant to enhance user interaction. In summary, Blume not only simplifies the documentation process but also enhances accessibility and efficiency, making it a valuable tool for a wide range of users. As an added benefit, the ability to easily customize and extend functionality ensures that users can tailor their documentation sites to meet specific requirements.
