What is ZipChart?

The realm of healthcare is undergoing a significant change due to the rise of Electronic Medical/Health Records software, with more healthcare professionals and their teams opting for digital documentation each year. Yet, this transition in office processes and the subsequent conversion can present various challenges and risks. Considerations like the costs involved in implementing an EMR system and the time needed to learn a new platform make the shift to a fully digital practice a considerable endeavor. Among the available solutions, ZipChart® EMR is notable for its combination of user-friendliness and powerful functionality, designed using web technology and optimized specifically for tablet use. A standout feature of ZipChart® is its customization options, allowing tailoring at both the practice and individual provider level through simple point-and-click methods, which makes it an intuitive choice that aligns seamlessly with physicians' workflows. This effective system not only simplifies routine tasks but also improves physicians' ability to handle their patient caseloads, potentially increasing the number of patients they can accommodate in a single day. Consequently, the implementation of such advanced technology holds the promise of enhancing patient care and operational productivity within medical practices, ultimately benefiting both healthcare providers and patients alike. As practices continue to evolve, embracing these innovative tools will be crucial for staying competitive in the ever-changing medical landscape.

What is Grapheus?

Grapheus is a cutting-edge AI medical scribe designed by a physician for healthcare practitioners and clinical environments. It adeptly captures in-person patient consultations through mobile devices or laptops and records telehealth interactions via a Chrome extension, producing a well-organized clinical note that incorporates ICD-10 codes, E/M levels, and suggestions for additional coding. Each generated clinical note undergoes careful review and approval by clinicians, ensuring they remain responsible for the information's accuracy. This adaptable tool caters to a variety of medical specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, and urgent care, as well as serving nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Additionally, the Chrome extension facilitates the smooth integration of drafted notes into electronic health records for clinician assessment. An OpenEMR module further augments the system’s capabilities by enabling the addition of note drafts, patient issues, allergies, recommended prescriptions, and entries for unbilled fees directly into patient charts. To maintain HIPAA compliance, the service operates on AWS Bedrock under an AWS BAA, guaranteeing that audio recordings are deleted after transcription, drafts are removed within 48 hours, and all transcripts are discarded after note creation, thereby emphasizing a commitment to patient privacy. This comprehensive system not only simplifies the documentation process but also significantly improves the overall efficiency of clinical workflows, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks.
