What is eCitation?

Quickly produce detailed, clear, and accurate electronic traffic citations in just minutes. The electronic citation system from LexisNexis® eCitation streamlines the ticketing process while enhancing both accuracy and the safety of law enforcement personnel with a solution tailored to each state. Officers have access to real-time information from multiple sources, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles and the National Crime Information Center. The system allows for the input and verification of data in accordance with state regulations and standards. Utilizing voice-prompt technology, officers can maintain their focus on both the driver and the road during the citation process. Furthermore, when a connection to the internet is reestablished, any offline data entered will automatically synchronize with the central database. This solution is designed to integrate seamlessly with leading mobile software platforms and the records management systems utilized by various agencies and courts. By enabling the swift issuance of more thorough, clear, and precise tickets, it not only saves time but also boosts productivity. Moreover, the automatic data validation against state and agency requirements reduces the likelihood of mistakes, significantly improving the efficiency of law enforcement operations. This forward-thinking system not only aids officers in their duties but also enhances the quality of service provided to the community as a whole. In this way, both public safety and operational efficacy are elevated significantly.
