What is jBPM?

jBPM is a flexible toolkit designed to facilitate the development of business applications that enhance the automation of processes and decision-making within organizations. Though its foundation lies in Business Process Management (BPM), jBPM has evolved to offer users the freedom to select their desired approaches for business automation. This toolkit comes equipped with numerous features that enable the simplification and externalization of business logic into modular components, which include processes, decision tables, and cases among others. Additionally, jBPM can operate as a standalone service or seamlessly integrate within a tailored service environment, without any limitations on the frameworks used. Typically, jBPM is utilized to create business applications that serve as specialized solutions designed with specific frameworks and functionalities, targeting unique business challenges. By effectively implementing business logic, it leverages capabilities from various frameworks such as business processes, planning constraints, and business rules, while also incorporating essential services like persistence, messaging, and transaction management, thereby providing a holistic solution to meet diverse business automation requirements. Furthermore, this adaptability allows organizations to respond swiftly to changing business environments and evolving operational demands.

What is edoras one?

We are thrilled to unveil the release of version 2.0 of our Case Management platform, edoras one. One of the standout features of this update is the experimental support for DMN standard Decision Tables, which marks the first time this capability is available to users. We believe this feature will soon become integral to numerous processes and case management activities. Decision Tables present a straightforward interface that enables business professionals to efficiently manage and implement business rules. With a layout similar to that of a spreadsheet, these tables allow for the assessment of complex conditions and the formulation of conclusions. Instead of embedding decision-making logic within intricate code or convoluted expressions, Decision Tables make it easier to express and understand the governing rules. As the use of Decision Tables broadens across various aspects of tackling business challenges, gaining hands-on experience with them will prove beneficial, helping users maximize the advantages in future updates. Furthermore, edoras one 2.0 also introduces a new public contract for our REST API, which enhances the connectivity and integration capabilities available to our users. This update not only signifies a substantial advancement in user experience and adaptability but also sets the stage for further innovations to come. Ultimately, our commitment to continuous improvement is reflected in these exciting enhancements.
