What is netTerrain OSP?

netTerrain OSP is an all-encompassing software solution for fiber management that empowers organizations to effectively visualize and oversee their fiber optic networks. With its GIS-enabled maps, users can effortlessly navigate from broad street-level perspectives down to detailed strand-level views, facilitating the tracking of fiber components, the management of capacity, and the design of circuits. This platform streamlines the capacity planning process by offering current inventory data, while also simplifying circuit tracing and design tasks. Additionally, netTerrain OSP supports rapid data imports and integrates smoothly with various third-party applications, allowing organizations to optimize their fiber management practices and significantly improve operational efficiency. Ultimately, this tool not only enhances visibility into fiber networks but also fosters better decision-making within the organization.

What is FiberBox Plus?

The recently introduced Fiber Box Plus can be assessed from two different angles. On one hand, it marks a considerable upgrade from earlier models, featuring an advanced ARM CPU, expanded RAM, and four 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports that facilitate swift and dependable connectivity, free from the limitations usually linked with Ethernet, all while remaining cost-effective. Furthermore, it is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port intended for management purposes or PoE-in power supply, complemented by a 2-pin terminal and a standard DC jack, which offers users three flexible power supply alternatives. With support for a wide input voltage range of 24-57V, this device excels in efficiency, drawing only 7W of peak power when not connected to any peripherals. On the other hand, the Fiber Box Plus can also be seen as a budget-friendly substitute for the high-performance netFiber 9, delivering considerable savings for those who do not need the additional Gigabit SFP ports. Additionally, it features the same outstanding Marvell 98DX226S switch-chip, ensuring that performance is not compromised. Ultimately, the Fiber Box Plus presents an appealing choice for both cost-conscious buyers and individuals in search of dependable technological enhancements, making it a versatile option in today’s market.
