It’s made managing communication and comparing lead times with suppliers a much more efficient task. However, if expectations are not aligned with the platform’s capabilities, it can be overwhelming. It’s a powerful tool, but it would benefit from better control over changes to ensure a more secure and user-friendly experience.

Connecting with suppliers and subcontractors has been much easier thanks to AMFG, which has greatly improved our efficiency in distributed manufacturing. The platform allows us to compare production lead times and costs in a simple, consolidated way, making our decision-making process more streamlined. The messaging system is another feature I really appreciate, it's so convenient for communicating directly with suppliers, reducing the need for constant email exchanges. Additionally, the integration with FedEx, UPS, and DHL has made the shipping process smoother, particularly with automated label generation and parcel tracking.

There’s a gap between what users expect from AMFG and what it actually delivers, which has led to some frustrations. I will start this by saying that managing expectations with this platform can be tricky. Many people assume certain features are included, but then they’re disappointed when they find out they’re not. Another challenge I’ve encountered is the lack of control over changes. While we can track them, there’s no ability to prevent changes, which can create risks, especially with sensitive production data.

It had been a challenge for us to organise our production with the greatest efficiency possible - it was too easy to forget about smaller orders and there were often clashing priorities which we struggled to smooth out. AMFG's autoscheduling feature means we can know with confidence that parts are going to be produced at the optimal times. It has really removed a great headache for us.

AMFG has been very helpful for managing the increasing number of orders we receive as our business grows. The auto-scheduling feature in particular has made our production process much smoother and a lot less stressful.

We would like to see a few more integration options.

Lots of time has been wasted on unanticipated machine malfunctioning in our business - AMFG's KPI dashboard and live status updates, which we were able to customise, has turned this trend around.

AMFG’s interface for order entry, including recommendations for technology, materials and post-processing selection has been significantly helpful in ensuring accuracy throughout the whole production process. With real-time status updates we can understand our lead times better.

Keeping our 3D printing processes structured from A-Z is critical for us as we operate on a broad scale and it's easy to lose track of individual orders. I can highly recommend AMFG to manage critical parts and meet lead times. The system’s security measures are great and we feel that our digital assets are safe.

Sometimes bugs in the system can cause slow rendering speeds and cause delays in our production. AMFG does fix these quickly after being reported.

AMFG is a great addition to our workflow. The features it offers are powerful, and it's made managing production and materials much easier.

1. Production Planning: It’s simple for us to assign tasks and keep track of deadlines, making the whole process we have to follow, smoother.

2. Material Tracking: It’s great that I can track everything in real-time without relying on more manual solutions.

3. Integration with CAD: I like that I can directly upload designs from our CAD software and manage this process with reduced manual data entry and trust my team more as there are fewer risks with less manual work.

I find when we hire new staff it takes them a while to grasp he system fully, but I must say the AMFG team are always willing to assist with whatever training materials we need.

For some time, we were facing frustrated customers as we spent ages getting back to them with process updates. Since they've been automatically in the loop with AMFG, these kinds of complains have gone down significantly.

From the moment a customer places an order, AMFG handles everything. It tracks every step of the production process for us so that we can keep tabs on its progress and keep our customer service slick. We no longer have to worry about where an order stands - AMFG takes control of everything. Plus, with the collaboration feature, internal and external communications can be managed easily.

We can’t think of any cons for AMFG. We are truly happy with their system.

Customer support could be quicker to respond, and the interface can sometimes feel cluttered. Despite these challenges, it’s still a reliable tool for our company.

What I really appreciate about AMFG is how well it manages critical parts. It ensures that all parts meet the strict quality standards and regulatory requirements that are so important in this industry. The automatic rescheduling of failed parts is a big help, making sure parts always meet the necessary specs. The robust security features are also reassuring, protecting digital assets in an industry where security is crucial.

The setup process is where we’ve faced challenges. It’s a bit complicated, and our team didn’t have enough bandwidth to fully support it. Another downside is how information-heavy the platform can be; it can feel overwhelming at times, and there's not enough guidance on what’s truly important. The invoicing process is also separate from other workflows, leading to inefficient manual transfers.

Overall, the biggest problem we have solved with AMFG is time management and planning challenges.

The integration with our existing systems was a great plus when we setup AMFG. It saved us from having to make a full switch with complications. The automation within the system has really reduced the amount of manual work required from myself, and the team in general.

I do hope the issue with bugs becomes less, this is the only real issue we run into often.

I like how easily I can track project milestones, set reminders for key deliverables, and monitor the progress of multiple projects in real-time. It’s a huge relief not having to chase down staff for the status of each project.

AMFG allows me and my team to track resource usage across projects, so we can make sure that we don’t run into shortages or delays. It’s also been amazing for planning the logistics of material deliveries to our different job sites. We have seen a massive decrease in overordering and with that, the finance team have been happy to report on reduced costs.

As I have engineers, supply chain specialists, and project managers on my team working together on different aspects of the same projects., the built-in collaboration features have made communication across these teams so much easier. They really utilise the features to share updates, mark off tasks and have real-time conversations in the system without needing to jump between emails, WhatsApp or running around to different departments. AMFG offers an on-premises solution, which we appreciate as a business that cannot move to a cloud-based Additive MES solution. Storing data on our own servers has provided us with a greater level of security.

The setup and configuration process for the on-premises solution is time-consuming and costly compared to some cloud-based solutions.
