Date: Feb 08 2023SummaryExcellent -- the processes of entering and retrieving information is quick -- meaning no delay in these processes. I also appreciate the fact I can attach Invoices to the customers' service records. It provides such valuable information.
PositiveIssues were taken care of in a timely manner; and after the update, all is working well. I really appreciate SCT as a service record "keeper" for our business. It really helps to provide wonderful information.
NegativeIt does have a tendency to "go down" at times -- but really other than that I have no complaints.

Ideal CRM system for any Business

PositiveI have used ACT for almost twenty years. I have found it to be user friendly. I find the integration of ACT with the Microsoft Office Products a real plus in the fact that you can track all of the various types of correspondence with you customers and set follow up dates for specific activities using the synchronization of the two calendars. I moved from the desktop version to the Cloud Version and have found this system so much better when I have to travel nationally or internationally. As long as I have access to the internet, I am in business anywhere in the world. I know I do not use all of the features and benefits of the software but I liked the fact that I can customize it to my business needs makeing me even more comfortable with the system. I do recommend that you include the technical support program with the software and now you can find a quick answer to problems when upgrades from Microsoft with their products requires a special ACT Patch or whatever.
NegativeI would like more "best practices" presented to me so I can either try something new within the programming or change the way I use a particular feature, so it is more beneficial to me in terms of saving time.

Been using ACT forever!

PositiveI first started using ACT many years ago when I was managing all the sales and marketing for my computer software company. It did the job I needed done, making it easy for me to look up interactions with individuals and companies. I never used more than 20% of the features, I must admit. Once I left that business I continued to use ACT in a personal/private manner. Life is complicated. I depend on ACT to track my friends, relatives, and all the companies and professionals I interact with. Again, I don't probably even use 20% of the features anymore, but what it does for me is priceless. Easy to use and dependable. Best software I know.
NegativeACT has a lot of features I don't use and which I would rather not be paying for, but as a database it doesn't have any obvious cons. Microsoft updates have screwed it up a couple times, but the support people have understood that and are very helpful.

PositiveThe ease of use for me is great. I've been using ACT for more than 25 years! I first starting using it when I was using Mac based computers. When ACT no longer support Macintosh I switched to PC just to be able to use ACT. It was well worth the transition.
NegativeSince I am a very small company and it is only me using the product I would like the cost to come down. It's a little expensive for me.

PositiveI have used this product for over 20 years. The mail merge feature works incredible. The hybrid version allows you to work at home or the office or if you travel. You have it on your desktop and cloud to login remotely. You also can change the entire layout and customize it.
NegativeThe are none at this time, the CRM works really well.

Lagging in features, leading in raising prices. Wouldn't recommend.
Updated: Feb 20 2020SummaryFind another solution. For the amount they want to charge there are better products with better support and a wider range of features, especially when you consider current pricing is higher than most competitors for less functionaly.
We've paid for most recent upgrade but will be migrating to another product in the near future. Frankly, after 20 and some odd years of using the product, I can't imagine that Swiftpage will still be around in 5 years.PositiveWe've used ACT at work since 1993 and have seen it go through many changes. It was a good central database to log contacts, companies and the interactions with them.
NegativeThe last few years, improvements are focused more on "add-on services" that will increase revenue for Swiftpage and NOT on fixing bugs or improving functionality and speed. (For example, attachments are impossible to move because paths are hard-coded, but this hasn't been fixed in years). Most importantly they REALLY REALLY want to get customers for the higher monthly fee subscriptions .. to the point where they handicap the base "pro" product, and are discontinuing it and moving to [high-priced] subscription only in 2020. Pricing is, in some cases HIGHER than Salesforce.com, for example, but for much less functionality.
