    Extremely helpful system that reduces time that had to spent on running different spreadsheets and managing different freight forwarders significantly.

    Positive

    One system to keep track of all our cargo even when booked with different freight forwarders.
    Labelling that can be modified to your specific requirements.
    Very easy to track costs and use for running different reports.

    Negative

    Australia has a lot of small trucking companies that don't feed tracking information to the big freight forwarders' systems. Difficult to integrate all of them for tracking purposes.

    Great TMS for companies using multiple transporters

    Overall, Cargoson works well for companies handling large and small shipments (even bulk) with multiple transporters.

    Cargoson allows me to save time as logistics manager that I can now dedicate to more value-adding tasks. Before, I had to manage multiple transporter booking portals, which all had their own layout and way of work. Cargoson remembers past comments per delivery address, which reduces the risk of forgetting to mention delivery details, such as opening hours, booking instructions,…
    After inputting all necessary information, Cargoson gives a clear overview of all available transporters together with their price (all surcharges included).
    The support team from Cargoson is very helpful. They help a lot in integrating transporters in the portal. We added multiple transporters with an API-integration and others manually. The support team handled very well all different types of price lists. Cargoson also handles all technical details for the API-integration.
    When booking a transport with an integrated transporter, Cargoson also sends an e-mail with a tracking-link to the customer. These tracking links are also quickly available on the portal main-page. Cargoson also allows to directly print shipment labels from the transporter out of the Cargoson portal.
    Our salespeople also have access to Cargoson, which helps them better in assisting our customers because all necessary information in easily available.
    Whenever I have a question, Cargoson support answers very quickly and they can generally solve all our questions.

    Negative

    Sometimes, it might be easier if we could change the fuel surcharge ourselves without having to reach out to Cargoson support.
    When we make a price request via Cargoson for irregular transports, the carrier must register with Cargoson to be able to reply. The effect is that carriers sometimes just don’t reply because they are not familiar with the system.

    We are generally glad to be using it, also we have hard savings from being much more efficient in managing transportation.

    Positive

    Initially we liked the idea of managing all our transportation from one platform and started early. Over couple years we have experienced active development like improvements in UI, new functions and overall choice of carriers.
    We get responses to inquiries from most carriers very quickly and so can get the goods out faster without having to spend time on e-mails, logging in to several carriers' systems and comparing offers manually in spreadsheets.
    Now all the overview and history related to transport is in one place which helps when employee is on holiday or has a sudden sick leave.
    We also like the CO2 calculation for which we see good usage potential in the future to make greener decisions and also communicate them to customers.

    Negative

    There is still room to improve integrations with ERP-s and carriers which does not depend solely on Cargoson.

    Cargoson gives us ease to compare and cooperate with a broader range of logistics service providers. We have easy access to data on volumes, transporters, pricing, etc.
    Also less manual tasks as the system easily integrates to our inventory management tool and automations in place reduce the amount of potential human errors.

    So far everything has been great, all and any issues or errors that have popped up have been handled fast and professionally.
