Clever
Clever
Empowering educators and students through seamless technology access.Clever is utilized by over 60% of K–12 schools in the United States, encompassing 95 of the 100 largest school districts, which translates to approximately 15 million students engaging with the platform on a monthly basis. Our partnership with the educational community is a source of pride, as we strive to create abundant opportunities for every student. The idea for Clever emerged from co-founder Dan Carroll’s experiences as a technology director in Denver, where he faced obstacles in his quest to use technology to save teachers time and personalize education due to the overwhelming number of CSV files and forgotten passwords. Reflecting on his journey, Dan shared, “I aimed to be an innovator, but I found myself entangled in the role of a human API.” While software has the potential to empower teachers and revolutionize learning, it is essential that every user can access it quickly and securely. To solve Dan's challenge, we developed a single sign-on system that allows 60% of U.S. K–12 institutions to concentrate on teaching rather than struggling with login problems, thus significantly improving the educational experience for both students and educators. With this innovative solution, we continue to support schools in their mission to elevate learning outcomes for all students.
