EMQX was a complex platform to use, mainly due to its complex implementation process, however, this platform is key to having a solid data transfer with services such as AWS or SAP, although our main use was with system linkage IBM in the cloud. I really liked the experience we have had with this platform, we have used it for approximately 2 years and we have been able to transfer more than 1000 files to our servers thanks to the MQTT transfer service. We will continue to use this platform due to its high effectiveness in our real estate sector.

EMQX was the perfect service to connect our servers and extract essential information. Our IT sector is in charge of the general and main configuration of EMQX. EMQX general services never gave us any kind of problem, I was one of the main people in charge of the implementation, and the implementation process was the only negative thing about EMQX, it was a process that took a couple of days since we had to correctly configure the servers and connect the cloud ports. General data transfer functions performed excellently without any issues.

EMQX adapts perfectly to our MySQL system to favor the transfer of data between our cloud and our devices. We have more than 100 devices linked to EMQX to be able to communicate openly with our clients. I have loved the low latency that this platform uses so that all messages are reflected in real time in the chat window, this platform allows me to attend to clients simultaneously, it provides us with a main control panel where we can have a real-time monitoring of all active sessions, also, I loved that the main panel allows me to check the active client nodes. I love that EMQX allows me to generate more than 50,000 connections a year, in addition, it allows me to host up to 1 TB of storage in data transfer and connection with devices. EMQX has MQTT 5.0, an updated version, with bug fixes and longer data transfer times.

I have no complaints about EMQX, this platform has yielded innovative results, we have connected it on several occasions with the MongoDB cloud, and we have never had any type of failure, however, currently we are only using it with a direct connection to our platform in the MySQL cloud, and the results have been the same, we have had a complete implementation and integration, this platform has never given any kind of failure.

EMQX is present in at least 400 devices of our company, and this has been incredible for extracting information from our AWS cloud in a simple way, the QUIC extension that this platform has ensures that our files and essential information are transferred to our devices with a low latency. I really liked using EMQX, especially because the HOCON configuration greatly favored my adaptation process on this platform, it managed to provide me with a much simpler configuration which allowed this platform to be integrated into our company much more easily. In addition, each data that is requested through messaging services, this platform is capable of managing and completing that requirement in a few milliseconds. EMQX is amazing and I will keep using it for a long time.

The fantastic things that made me choose EMQX were:

1. EMQX uses a QUIC-compatible technology, which helps reduce the latency of data transfer between the internet (the cloud) and the device that is being used to request the data, this connectivity was implemented in EMQ 5.0 and this It helped a lot to improve latency in data transfer.

2. I love being able to visualize the data engine from the EMQX main dashboard, I can tell exactly where the data is going, I can tell if it is going north or south, I can clearly see the data exchange.

3. The HOCON configuration that EMQ has helps a lot to be able to manage the interface of this platform more easily and to be able to configure each of the nodes. I love the general interface, it is very easy to control and allows full access to the data flow.

4. It has had good cluster scalability, which has allowed us to have a real-time data transfer flow for all types of events and for various messaging services.

5. EMQX uses a very extensive capacity in the payment plan, which allows you to link up to 1000 devices simultaneously, and thus favor the sending of data to all those devices at the same time.

I have not encountered any problems while using EMQX, we have been using it in conjunction with the Amazon AWS service and it has worked wonderfully, providing excellent data delivery and a very low percentage of information loss in each transfer. We loved very much that this platform has not given any kind of problems during these 2 years that we have used it.

If you had to write a negative point, it would be that at first they could offer a greater amount of material so that people can learn how to configure the platform, since it was a bit complicated to adapt to each type of connector and install it in the cloud so that all will work properly. Although it took us time to do this, and it all became too methodical, as time went by we didn't adapt the different features and functionality of each tool, discovering over time what was useful and how to exploit its potential to the fullest. But it took us a long time to discover that we can reduce it to a minimum, and that for the next people who want to use it, they can have the necessary material to guide and customize the platform in a simple way.

My overall experience with EMQX can be described as positive, we deployed in the AWS cloud and it was really an easy process which was done in a timely manner, the dashboard is incredible and it allows us to visualize the data being transferred between devices, it is a software that I would classify as very modern because of its interface, we have been able to use this software to slowly increase our scalability when it comes to our data and get great results when processing our payments and more financial information.

For me, personally, there are various factors that I liked about EMQX; one of them being that it is an accessible broker that is able to process millions of messages in literal seconds, it is very fast like no other service and it is able to connect to multiple devices in one single cluster, EMQX is a software that, while using it, it feels really comfortable and it does not come with any remarkable complications, it is a nicely created software that is easy to deploy on the preferred cloud service for better security.

The support team is not very responsive, I have reached out to them only a couple of times but they have not been very responsive as other customer services, it is an aspect that needs to be improved because this is a software that is working with something very sensitive like data is.

Millions of messages can flow simultaneously through EMQX in a matter of seconds. It is extremely flexible and has a very high level of usability within my organisation. The EMQX team is also very receptive and helpful.

The most negative point that it is very difficult to ignore is that during the beginning of starting to use the software it is quite difficult to use, especially because it contains syntax that one is not familiar with, eventually this stopped being a problem for us as we slowly worked our way through it and developed our understanding of the MQTT protocol in this particular software, however, they could implement more user-friendly alternatives for those who are not very familiar with the syntax included in this but still need a broker that can do the job of processing all the data into the servers without taking a long time to get used to all the stuff, this could be achieved through more guides and innovative tutorials that are aimed towards an entry public that has experience in this area but not enough to achieve the deployment of the software by themselves.
