Good server
Date: Mar 17 2026SummaryHostkey allowed us to order a server with specific configurations, and additional storage disks were quickly provisioned. The IPMI module lets us manage the server fully remotely, including reinstallation of the OS or software, which is extremely convenient for a distributed team.
PositiveHi quality, quickly, nice price. Faster then another. Good, and fast support. We can use different services.

Hostkey is worth considering if the project depends on Windows Server
Date: Aug 10 2026SummaryHostkey is worth considering if the project depends on Windows Server rather than Linux. What stands out to me is that their Windows VPS is designed as a complete remote server environment rather than a limited hosting account. The Windows VPS includes full Administrator access and connection through Remote Desktop Protocol. This makes it suitable for IIS, ASP.NET, MSSQL, corporate applications and software that requires a graphical Windows environment. Hostkey currently supports Windows Server versions including 2019, 2022 and 2025 depending on the selected configuration. Storage is another important point. Hostkey offers NVMe and SSD options for Windows VPS and VDS. For MSSQL, application servers and Remote Desktop workloads this matters because disk latency can affect database queries, application startup and user sessions much more than the advertised sequential transfer speed alone.
PositiveThere are also Windows VDS plans based on Ryzen processors. Current configurations include options with 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB of RAM, NVMe storage, IPv4 and 1 Gbps connectivity with 3 TB of included traffic. Hostkey also publishes Geekbench results for these configurations, which makes comparing actual CPU performance easier than choosing only by the number of virtual cores. For administration I like the combination of RDP and the HTML5 console. If Remote Desktop stops responding after a firewall change or system update, the browser console provides another way to access the virtual machine. The control panel also supports reboot, reinstall and deployment from ISO images.
NegativeHostkey is worth considering if the project depends on Windows Server rather than Linux.
