Hoxhunt is a great tool
Date: Mar 14 2024SummaryOverall the tool is great. I like the e-mail design, especially in the spicy mode. I also like the way that you can report phish - it's so easy, just with one click from the Outlook client. I'm really happy that my company uses this tool.
PositiveI like the option to gather points for finding malicious e-mail. Shield as a milestone to show, how well you perform compared to others is great. Can't wait to get the last one!
NegativeIn fact I didn't find anything that I wouldn't like. Maybe reducing the number of points between each shield would be more motivating?

Hoxhunt has an intuitive UI accompanied by engaging content on multiple levels of difficulty, keeping people on their toes regardless of someone being a rookie or a seasoned expert.
NegativeA point of improvement could be having multiple languages, if someone works in a mixed-language environment, sometimes it's too easy to spot an English training email.

PositiveChallenges are accurate of everyday attempts to steal data.
There is an element of fun in doing the learning modules which are easy to grasp with very good explanations to get the gist of the message being delivered.
The challenges are not constant or consistent meaning you have to really think carefully about something that has arrived in email and how to approach it.
Gamification of the whole process keeps things interesting amongst your work colleagues.NegativeNothing really. I guess the gap in between challenges might be too large, but I am sure this is also something that can be set.

My experience with hoxhunt
Date: Jun 25 2024SummaryHoxhunt is a breath of fresh air in the world of security awareness training. It's engaging, informative, and most importantly, effective. The gamification aspect keeps things interesting, while the microlearning format ensures the information is easily digestible. While I would love a bit more customization and perhaps a tad more frequent simulations, overall, Hoxhunt has definitely made me more confident in my ability to identify and avoid phishing attempts. If you're looking for a way to boost your company's cybersecurity defenses and empower your employees, Hoxhunt is definitely worth checking out.
PositiveHaving fallen victim to a phishing scam a while back, I was all too aware of the importance of cybersecurity awareness training. That's when my company introduced Hoxhunt, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. Here's a breakdown of my experience with this human risk management platform
Engaging Microlearning: Forget boring lectures! Hoxhunt breaks down security awareness into bite-sized, interactive modules. These microlearning experiences keep things fresh and hold your attention.
Phishing for Fun? Almost!: The simulated phishing emails are cleverly crafted. They test your instincts and keep you on your toes, all while reinforcing how to spot red flags in real emails. Plus, there's a gamification aspect that makes it surprisingly fun to identify and report these phoney emails.
Measurable Progress: I love seeing my progress visualized on the user-friendly dashboard. It's motivating to track my improvement in identifying phishing attempts and helps me stay accountable.
Real-World Relevance: Hoxhunt goes beyond theory. The training scenarios are based on real-world threats, making them relatable and truly valuable.NegativeCan Be Occasional: The phishing simulations aren't super frequent. While this helps prevent them from becoming a nuisance, I do sometimes crave the challenge of a good phoney email!

Limited Customization (for Users): The training modules seem pre-set, so there's not much flexibility for individual users to tailor the experience to their specific needs. -

Hoxhunt Review
Date: Mar 14 2024SummaryThe interface is really well designed and educational on a good level for all users. There's always something to learn and new aspects of how malicious e-mail content can be forged to match the users every day interaction with colleagues and others.
PositiveThe ever so slight chance for an email to be hazardous for our development environments and the constant chance to gain points in the Hoxhunt battle makes users extra conscious of malware and false links.
NegativeThe hunt starts when an account is created and not when the employee has their first day at work which some times results in a start with 4-5 missed Hoxhunts and a bad statistic to begin with.

PositiveHoxhunt has a clean, engaging UI that I like to use. The software is fun, competitive, and informative. I particularly like how it goes through each email and shows the phishing red-flags.

Amazing training product for anti-phishing
Date: Mar 14 2024SummaryOverall I think it is a very interesting product for companies that want to expand the cybersecurity knowledge of their employees. With a gamification style, it creates that sense of awareness in the employee and the desire to detect new malicious emails. The app format makes it very interesting, rather than a typical training where you lose the employee's attention.
PositiveHoxhunt has a fairly intuitive and simple interface for less advanced users. Gamified applications, where training is seen as a game, tend to encourage higher usage and user retention. This is the case with Hoxhunt! The presence of a ranking and levels, makes the user want to discover more phishing emails, and creates an atmosphere of healthy competition.
NegativeAt least in my organization, Hoxhunt was not present from the beginning in the new Outlook. This made it inconvenient to have to access the old Outlook every time a phishing training email arrived.

Another important issue is that the employee should be given context on how the tool works and the objective; if he/she starts receiving phishing training emails without prior context, he/she may think that he/she is a victim of a cyber-attack. -

Protect your company by playing a game
Date: Jul 01 2024SummaryWell balanced product making workers corporate live a bit harder, but it worth it! Playing the game really makes us stronger and ready for security calls of everyday life.
PositivePerfect security awareness increasing and phishing mails generative solution. It can be integrated with company business processes, using different triggers while generating fake emails, so the topic will be precisely close to the current life or business situation of a user. After playing that game, you almost don't know anymore, what is true and thoroughly check any information.
NegativePhishing emails generated by Hoxhunt can be even bewildering, action-provoking – it can be very difficult sometimes to carefully read it. Suddenly you are informed, that your corporate card has been used by someone else, your business trip is cancelled or your access will be revoked. Thus it's not that simple to keep your mind cold.

Fake Emails Can Be Silly: The practice emails can be a bit too lighthearted sometimes. They could be more realistic to really prepare us for the bad guys out there.
Limited Choices: There aren't tons of different practice emails to choose from. Ideally, you could pick ones that match the kinds of scams our company might face.
Keeping Up the Fun: The game aspect is cool at first, but it might get old after a while. They need to keep adding new stuff to keep things interesting.
