    Great product. I can access customer computers from wherever I am from my phone of PC. Well worth it. I have been using this product for years and it has improved my efficiency massively. This is the best remote support product out there.

    Remote into multiple devices at a time (with correct licensing)
    Can create groups and grant certain users access to certain groups
    Can transfer data back and forth using software
    Can configure unattended access as well as require users to authenticate

    Slight quirks with the desktop software such as scrolling down to group, click on group and program takes back up to the top.
    When using unattended access, would be nice to be able to switch to sharing my screen

    I love this product. It's simple, fast, secure, multi-user, multi-session, multi-tenant, and very cost effective.

    Grouping of devices by client with custom naming of devices
    Individual device connection passwords: using a separate password management tool, protect who has access to each device connection.
    Reporting/logging and notification of remote device connection and disconnect occurrences.

    Negative

    Supporting mobile is cumbersome but it really would be difficult to improve it.
    iOS devices present challenges for the user to activate the remote session. Sometimes, less savvy users have struggles activating the remote viewing security needed for support.

    I really enjoy not only the stability offered but the innovations that the team at ISL keep coming up with including making it easier to email installers of the client piece to end users.

    The ability to take control of both Windows and Mac machines from anywhere, including mobile devices is a real asset. File transfers are easy.

    As being someone who also does budgeting, paying for anything is always the hard part for me :). The value and ease of use added by ISL makes paying for it less of a sting.

    Having used this for years now and having the ability to use my computer and tablet to support my customers seamlessly all included in the very reasonable license cost of this software is just excellent. The software performs every time and offers very low friction once the receiving party runs the software. It is incredibly feature complete as a support tool and offers the best value on the market in my experience.

    I moved to ISL from a much more expensive hosted product in part to be able to self host and also to stop being nickel and dime'd. I love that your license comes with all of the features this software offers and you do not need to piecemeal together the solution.

    Negative

    When using this with a Mac you have to instruct users to open a DMG file and then run the program. I understand why this is but it is often confusing for end users and does hamper the use.

    We have been using ISL Light for almost 5 years now and it remains an important tool in our MSP toolbox to effectively manage client fleets.

    Positive

    When TeamViewer switched to the subscription model and increased their pricing several years ago, we went in search of comparable solutions. As an MSP, we were drawn to ISL Light for not just the lower price point – but also the option to self-host, ability to connect to mobile devices (without it being an add-on), and coverage across all key operating systems. Management of multi-screen remote computers is much better with ISL than with other solutions we use such as JumpCloud. Clipboard sync and file transfer is much simpler too. We also appreciate that the software is under continuous development and enhancement.

    Negative

    Connecting to a remote computer does take a little longer, but it's still less than 30 seconds in most instances.

    ISL Online is pretty easy to setup, I can set up each computer (60+ computers) pretty quickly, maybe <2 minute on each once you get in the groove. ISL Online has been pretty good with pricing, and although it's gone up a bit, you can go with the prepaid, pay as you go, type of of pricing if you don't use as much. Overall, very good

    I've been using ISL Online for probably about 10 years.
    I managed a lot of computers through ISL Online and there were never any issues. It shows you the IP address of each computer and whether each computer is online/offline. They update a lot of features but the simple web interface, they've kept, which is great.

    The Remote power on (Wake On Wan) I've had trouble activating/getting to work but I'm assuming it's more of a function of the computer itself rather than ISL Online. I don't necessarily need it so it has not been a problem

    In total, ISL is a great asset to any organization with a small IT team but large physical footprint. It allows flexibility to make most repairs remotely and does not require additional training for the end user to utilize. It is well worth the investment for any organization looking to streamline IT solutions.

    ISL provides a basis for remote repairs and user help across the 9 centers we support. It is always up and running when I need it to be, which allows me to help staff quickly and efficiently without having to send them any sort of remote login link that they may not understand how to use.
    ISL also allows me to monitor which computers are online and being utilized as well as wake hibernating PCs for updates remotely.

    Negative

    To change an access password requires travel to the computer in question and accessing ISL. This is a rare occurrence that is not worth complaining about, as it only occurs when the previous admin did not properly record access passwords.

    Great Platform, I like how easy it is to switch back and forth between my computer screen at work and my home screen. Overall it is very easy to use.

    I started using ISL Light during COVID when I could not come into work because I had to stay home to help my kids with school. It was a lifesaver for me because I am the inventory manager at my vet office and I was able to order inventory for the clinic, keep track of inventory, manage our online pharmacy and manage our schedule all from home. ISL made it very easy for me to remote in to our scheduling software and to make client notes. I still use it even though I am back in the office. It is very easy to use and give me more flexibility with my time.
