I really like the InterSystem technology and i am starting to use them, Actually we use only caché and zen.

I really like the IRIS REST applications and extensions in Visual Studio Code and DBeaver CE, are very useful.

I have no cons about IRIS, because I am new to InterSystem technology, but REST applications are very interesting.

Until now I've had good experience and support since I work in a friendly and helpful company, had a few struggles in the beginning to get all the singularities of the language but now I'm used to it and works great and I can see multiples uses for it.

Very fast and scalable database, good management for huge data flow with safe paths providing full resources to build a complete application without needing anything else.

Lack of information on the open web for some particularities and the Studio editor is kind of outdated.

Evaluating the tool as a whole, natural evolution has occurred and is occurring, InterSystems is acting in the best possible way, making this database even better.

I believe that the stability and security that the bank transmits to us, inherit this from Caché, making it the ideal choice. The possibility of working together with Ensemble only illustrates the correct choice.

Lover of the old databases, I still miss native IDE platforms to work with the data, however, this does not affect the performance of IRIS, it is another natural change.

The product is very awesome and have a lot of tools include them. The community are the most active I've ever see in my life. The support and the usability is amazing.

The software is kind of difficult if you're a beginner, then you need a lot of time to hang of it. And the expert or someone with a good qualification is very hard to find.

Object Script could cause a learning curve if you are new to the product.

Intersystems IRIS is a perfect solution, principally for the health area. The database is very security and is easy to use.

The COS language is too simple. Ok, it's a double-edged sword, it is easy to learn but to solve some kind of problems demands a lot of code.

IRIS is simple to implement and very quickly in processing. Very easy do manage and easy do deploy.

IRIS is not as popular as Oracle and SQL Server, so it has a small online community. The license price is also high.

I use Caché since the older versions and I liked this one in particular because of the information from open communications without losing the best, its high performance and speed in small and large applications.
Allowing connectivity with other open libraries opens up a world of possibilities and performance gains in the development of our software since we can use several frameworks to facilitate the writing of the code.

Administration portal. Isn't easy to understand.

InterSystems IRIS provides a large amount of possibilities and capabilities to manage large amounts of data with high performance. It comes with a bunch of analytics stuff and the InterSystems support for its products is great. The learning curve is a bit stiff, could be a little more friendly.

InterSystems IRIS provides a large amount of features, basically an all-in-one software, eliminating the need to other tools. Also, it provides a good analytics feature for you to monitor your data in lots of interesting ways. The InterSystems support service is great, there is no way to go wrong with that.

The software is a bit difficult to use, specially if you are a beginner. But once you get the hang of it, it's ok. Could be a little more noob friendly, tho.

The caché and ensemble have been integrated in only one tool which is IRIS. This tool created a lot of new possibilities such as working with machine learning and integrate it with python, node and AWS.

The license is pricier than just buying ensemble. Also it's a new tool that it's not been used a lot and a training is highly required.
