First, I learned to use MainEDC myself. Now, I teach others how to handle it. To some people, it seems sophisticated. But for me, it seems just as intuitive now as Microsoft Office or Google Drive. It’s a very logical and structured product. There is nothing perplexing or irrational about it. It makes the life of DMs more organized and productive. Data management is a crucial skill for this niche and MainEDC is an excellent platform to hone it.

Might seem sophisticated at first but it’s just an illusion.

I got to know about MainEDC from my friend. He works in big pharma and I work for a small biotech company. He said this platform “spiced up” data management. I didn’t fully understand the meaning of his words until I got a chance to try it myself. I began by exporting data from a spreadsheet. Even this casual task was so nicely organized that I appreciated the comfort of using the app. I spent three hours and it wasn’t enough to familiarize myself with its full functionality. I informed my managers about this solution and eventually we switched to it in 2 trials.

Helpful in every detail. The platform helps to solve a lot of problems when creating projects. We are very happy.

When you open the MainEDC website, one of the first things you see is the promise of a much higher speed of work. Allegedly, this solution enables you to launch a trial project in 5 days — instead of 12.7 weeks, which is the industry average. This sounds optimistic.
We bought MainEDC because we loved the free trial results. This solution allowed us to start the research in 3 weeks. Previously, it took us around 15 weeks. Maybe, we’ll be able to get down to work faster next time if we manage to get rid of some bureaucratic procedures in our company.

This platform simplifies every step of conducting trials. It reduces the workload of the staff and eliminates the mess.

In some cases, it might be challenging to fill in the tables and the lab data.

The way it complies with industry standards and its data protection system are remarkable. We would also like to mention how adaptive the platform is – we run a number of projects and each one uses the platform differently, thanks to how open to customisation it is.

Once, I spent 10 minutes looking for a feature that I needed… It was located not where I expected to find it.

When trying MainEDC in demo mode, we got access to all the functions that we were interested in. This mode gives a genuinely good notion of the platform’s capabilities. Now, we’re using the full version and we like it. Every step of working with data is comprehensive and user-friendly. The processes of uploading, processing and analyzing the data as well as compiling reports are well organized. API integration with other platforms also comes in handy for us.

Detailed reports. Powerful analytical tools. Full control over all the processes. Recommended for businesses that strive to increase their profits.

Compared to some of its competitors, MainEDC offers not the most intuitive interface.

Speed of work is pretty much ok and it’s not prone to bugs. You need to explore all the numerous features and figure out the best settings for each individual case. The result can be perfect but to achieve the result, you have to sweat sometimes. All my colleagues share my opinion. Despite this drawback, we stick to MainEDC because, for our work, it’s more advanced than most competitors. The alternative is to use the default settings, which also works well, but it's not our way or the way of our sponsors 😊. That's why such rich customization is the biggest plus for us in the system!

MainEDC is powerful and rather user-friendly. It seems to have every single feature that might need for work.

Some features cost additional money... (PACS, eCOA)

The larger the trial, the higher the chances that something will go wrong. In the worst case, everything will go wrong… Our largest trial involved 63,000+ subjects. MainEDC processed it effortlessly! Not a single bit of data was lost. The speed of work was slightly slower than when processing smaller amounts of information. But this disadvantage didn’t have a crucial impact on our work. We met all the deadlines.

Can handle trials of 63,000+ subjects (maybe even more, I don’t know its highest capacity limit)...

The platform might slow down when processing large amounts of data at the stage of export and where neural networks are needed (medical coding and working with personal data).

I was very happy with the platform that I was working with. But my employer’s shareholders insisted on updates and we switched to several new solutions. MainEDC was one of them. An expert recommended it to us. He said it has features that its competitors lack. It’s more seamless. With our older solution, I had to make tons of clicks to achieve a certain result. With MainEDC, it takes two-three clicks. Love it =)

The interface is nice and modern. The functionality is extensive. I haven’t faced any bugs or errors. My colleagues praise it.

It’s very different from the older platform that I’ve been using for 6 years.

In my practice, I use ready-made templates around 50% of the time and the other 50%, I create custom ones with the drag-and-drop designer. To sum it up, I’m pretty much satisfied.

Maximum security of data and high performance.
I’m grateful to the MainEDC creators for coming up with a nice way of building ePRO and eCRF forms. Randomization is very well done too. Log pads of trial subjects are more convenient to work with than on other platforms.

As soon I discover some cons, I’ll let you know...

I might be a bit too conservative but I struggled to get used to it… In the first two weeks, it took me too long to realize which button to click to achieve the desired result. It required a practice.
In the third week, I had to admit it’s a great tool. MainEDC is functional and universal. It automates many small processes related to receiving, arranging and exporting data. It can deal with projects of any complexity level. I appreciate the way it visualizes data.
If you have a chance to try this platform in demo mode, I believe you should do it.

Is helpful for researchers and has flexible settings. It’s particularly fulfilling to generate and share reports in MainEDC.

I don't see it yet. Everything is fine for me. Hope it stays that way.

Before I bought MainEDC, I double-checked all the information about it. It seems that all or at least most facts are true. It’s not an overestimation that 7 out of 10 Big Pharma businesses use it. I was especially curious about this statement: “It’s the first market solution based on AI for automated medical coding”. I’m not sure if it’s the first one ever — of the first that became a commercial success. Nevertheless, MainEDC is very good at automated medical coding.

Genuinely helpful, a lot of pharma businesses use it, good at automated medical coding. We are satisfied.

We have completed only a handful of trials in MainEDC and none of them was particularly large or complex. We don’t know how it deals with more challenging projects.

I know that today, it’s a norm that you can access any platform you need from any device. But it’s not the case with older solutions. We, scientists, often can’t access the programs that we need from our mobile phones — or we can, but the functionality of the mobile versions is not identical to the desktop ones. Besides, selected solutions can be available only on the computers from our laboratories. MainEDC is a modern platform that takes care of its users. I can access it from anywhere without limitations!

Regardless of whether I use my home laptop or my smartphone, I’ll never miss a notification and I can freely use the dashboard.

It’s more comfortable for me to work on a large screen than on a smartphone.

Our organization specializes in hybrid trials. Both our in-house and remote staff members are happy with the functionality of MainEDC. It gives us everything we need for our projects. We’ve never faced any problems with the input or output of data. The functionality for systematizing and validating data is impressive. There are so many randomization varieties on offer.

Some of our team members don’t quite appreciate the design — but it’s a matter of taste.

We don’t actually need a platform as rich in features as MainEDC. We switched to it primarily because of its price, high security level and clean, modern interface. We sincerely recommend MainEDC for trials. Its flexible settings make it suitable for any type of project.
However, what we appreciate the most is the automated drug supply management functionality. We use it regularly and it has never let us down.

I spent over 20 years working as a self-employed specialist in biotech. Then I took a loan and launched my own small business. When selecting digital solutions, I didn’t think twice about MainEDC. It became an obvious choice and I was glad it didn’t make me break the bank. I believe it will remain relevant for many years ahead. Its developers took into account the main trends of data management. The only disadvantage is that the settings can be too intricate.

Rich in features and created by industry experts. Working with imaging (MRI, KT) is amazing. We like the platform.

We haven't implemented RBM, it takes time. No more cons.

I’m a project manager. I convinced my employer to try MainEDC. Initially, top managers failed to grasp the potential of this platform. They perceived it as a slightly modernized variation of the software that we were already using. Finally, I convinced them that this platform is much better for supervising complex projects. It ensures higher performance and boosts sponsors satisfaction.

Initially, we were considering two platforms: MainEDC and another one. It was a tie but we opted for the first because it was newer. Previously, we already had issues with outdated software and we didn’t want to repeat the same mistake. MainEDC turned out to be a real thing! It offers much more than we could even think of.
At the same time, using it may be a little bit tricky as selected features are not too evident. To benefit from others, you have to think about the settings.

Innovative in certain aspects and has every feature you may need. In general, we are very pleased that we chose this platform.

Requires understanding of Clinical Data Management.

It’s easy to upload the data and customize the way it looks. The settings are flexible. I often transfer data from one project in MainEDC to another and each time everything goes without a hitch. The forms library saves me time and effort. Plus, MainEDC supports all types of randomization. I recommend this tool to anyone who is involved in clinical trials.

Even though MainEDC costs less than some alternatives, it doesn’t lack any features. Instead, it offers more features than I expected!

Selected options in the menu seem counterintuitive.

My favorite features are connected to central and local laboratory data handling. Plus, I like analytics for sponsor oversight of the clinical data. The list could go on. The interface might seem a bit complex at first sight but it’s only because the platform has so many different features.

MainEDC is not an expensive solution. But I guess companies with big budgets benefit from it more than small businesses, such as the one that I work for.

Wide range of tools + nearly limitless opportunities for customizing your projects and reports + thought-out UX/UI design.

Not every team of researchers will need to use the full potential of MainEDC.
