Great form builder!
Date: Mar 02 2021SummaryI've put most of my thoughts in the pros and cons above. The bottom line of any software as a tool is: Does it get the job done better than competitive products? Yes, PDF Studio Pro does. I also have Acrobat Pro and went searching for something that let me work with large documents without having to hand tool form field names over and over. Also, despite the comment about the user interface, the options are right there for you to choose and work with. Something Acrobat Pro has yet to figure out. They have a cooler interface but I like working in PDF Studio Pro because it's more functional for my workflow.
I happily forgo the interface ageism for the usability of this software as is - but, the user interface does feel a bit 2005 (chunky). I don't know why I keep finding it visually distracting. But, again, who cares!PositiveEasy to build templates of complicated forms and copy and paste with incremented field names!
All of the features are in sight except for a few key right-click features (e.g alignment), which, once you know where things are, it's really easy to work.
Full suite of form element options in the top icon menu bar.
All document, edit, conversion, security, and form options are a short mouse move and click away. Very helpful in speedy creating and management of PDFs.
The Batch option set looks complete and also a key time-saver when working with large files and preparing for publication.
I looked up something in their online help and got right to the answer. What a relief good documentation is!NegativeVery few minor issues with the product. In the Batch editing layout, I'd like to be able to navigate a document by bookmark. Navigation can slow an otherwise speedy process when working with large docs.

PositiveSigning PDF documents using USB etoken GELMATO security device in linux. also it can convert files easily and fill forms inside pdf files change the characters, draw shapes and edit a pdf document.
NegativePoor installation, no options, no dependencies in Linux. The price is a bit high for the pro version, also there is no updates on Linux.

Great application to manage PDF files
Date: Apr 16 2020SummaryPDF studio is a very user friendly tool that allows you to manipulate PDF documents: from adding pages, to rotate them, or insert text, or even sign and secure the document. The layout resembles office word documents, so it is familiar to most users and makes it very easy to find the icons and use the multiple options it offers. It is very useful and I definitely recommend it if you normally work with PDF files.
PositiveThe typewriter option lets you add text to PDF documents, and you can also add your signature and secure the document so that others can read it, but not modify it.
NegativeIt allows you to convert documents from Word or Excel into PDF, but not the other way around. I would like this software to let me turn PDF documents into Word or Excel files.

Awesome useful software
Date: Mar 23 2020SummaryI will replace Acrobat Pro with PDF Studio PRO... what else to say.
I'm 16 years in the print production industry (small/large format printing), and this program does the job well.PositiveI highly recommend this software as a replacement for Acrobat Pro. I'm using Acrobat Pro on my job (paid CC subscription by the company) but PDF Studio 2019 is way better. In Acrobat Pro I need to pay for every plugin separately if I want to manipulate PDF (+ $1.400 or so), but all this is pretty much included in PDF Studio 2019 package. I like that it's super optimized, cross-platform, and just work for stuff I need it. Imposing part of the software is the best!
NegativeRibbon interface. It can be changed, but still... it's outdated and unnecessary. It looks bad on Linux and Mac.

Nice but not suited for high-res screens.
Updated: Jan 26 2020SummaryOne of the best packages of its type running on Linux, but that is really not saying a lot. All other similar software packages for Linux are way behind Acrobat in functionality.
PositiveRather good functionality. Reasonably good layout.
NegativeDoes not support cutting and 3D PRC (Product Representation Compact) like Acrobat does. Limited functionality and reconfigurability.

An Excellent PDF Editing Application!
Date: Sep 30 2020SummaryQoppa's PDF Studio is an excellent, feature-rich, and cross-platform application implementing advanced PDF editing functionality. My favorite feature is simply the cross-platform availability of the program; I can edit PDFs using the same interface regardless of whether I am working on my Microsoft Windows or Ubuntu Linux workstations (with additional support for OSX as well).
PositiveQoppa's PDF Studio offers a feature-set rivaling even that of Adobe's own Acrobat Acrobat Pro DC. It provides comprehensive tools for filling forms, editing headers and footers, editing text and image content, redacting or sanitizing text, and appending or removing pages. Additionally, more advanced features are also offered, such as securing documents, creating watermarks, signing documents (via DocuSign), comparing PDF files, batch processes PDF files, and more.
NegativeQuite honestly, there is nothing specific I dislike enough about this application that is severe enough to warrant inclusion in my review. Like any application, I may not agree with all features implementations or may wish them to align more closely with my requirements, or I may find some naming conventions confusing on first-blush. Still, any such criticisms would only represent my subjective expectations. Objectively, this application provides all the functionality I require and then some.

Excellent Linux alternative to Adobe Acrobat Pro
Date: Dec 30 2020SummaryI am retiring this month and will lose access to Acrobat Pro (one of the few things I will miss). I use only Linux at home, and the choices are limited. I stumbled onto PDF Studio, tried it and bought it, and could not be more pleased.
PositiveFull featured replacement for Adobe Acrobat Pro, with a wonderfully intuitive layout (better than Acrobat). The documentation is clear and well written. There are other resources available online, such as command line use. If I could have this or the Adobe product at no cost, my choice would be PDF Studio hands down.
NegativeThere is nothing about it so far that I don't like.

PDF Studio Pro is my answer to the replacement for Acrobat Pro!
Updated: Dec 19 2020SummaryPDF Studio Pro is a full-featured, professional application that I have decided to use to replace Acrobat Pro. The interface is easy and intuitive to use, and I recommend it for you to try without hesitation.
PositivePDF Studio Pro is a full-featured, professional application that you can use to replace Acrobat Pro. Pay for it one time, and you get unlimited use, without monthly subscription fees. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, too. I recommend it for you to try without hesitation.
NegativePDF Studio Pro is pretty much ideal for a PDF creation and editing, as far as I am concerned, so there are no cons in my opinion.

Switching from Adobe Acrobat Pro
Date: Nov 27 2020SummaryQuite happy. The price is quite good. The install doesn't take long to deploy. The upgrade from 2020.1.1 to 2020.2.0 was smooth.
PositiveNot subscription based. Easily deployed to multiple computers. The MSI and EXE can both be silently installed. This is great as it gives us more deployment options.
NegativeStill learning the ropes. I need to find ways to unregister license and uninstall the application. So far I haven't found a way to unregister PDF Studio 2020 via command line.

Great PDF Reader and Editor - SIMPLE!
Date: Mar 19 2020SummaryOverall working with PDF Studio provided the exact solution I was looking for. I had become extremely accustom to the PDF software built into Mac computers, but they have recently stopped supporting my home macbook computer and I did not want to use different software between computers. This software has very friendly user interface that allowed me to become comfortable with working within it very quickly.
PositiveThe user interface is very intuitive and allows for very easy navigation and organization. I have been looking for a solution to organizing my scanned magazines and comics, this software was the perfect solution to my issue of needing to delete pages and reorganize sections.
Negative- I wish that it had the ability to select themes such as a dark and a light theme depending on where you are working on your documents.

Very Useful and user-friendly
Date: Dec 14 2019Summary4/5
Not clumsyPositivePDF Studio Pro is really an useful PDF editor. Earlier I was in MS Windows and was using Adobe Acrobat. But after switching to Linux, I was having problems with PDF editing. PDF Studio Pro has compensated the crisis. This is more like Adobe Acrobat earlier versions, in terms of look and feel. That’s user friendly. As I’m neither an expert nor a commercial/professional person, I always prefer user friendlyness. Command icons are clear with tooltip already written. Menu is elaborated well break-up. Very less searching for what I’m looking at. Also, all the functions seems to be available, so far I have tried.
NegativeYet to find. Tell me if there are any, if some bugs. I should be careful while using. Only one suggestions - add a printer driver for linux. We can generate using print command. Now it is giving errors.

Best PDF editor I've used for Linux
Date: Sep 03 2019SummaryExcellent so far -- the software installed without a hitch and to date has performed without any problems at all.
PositivePDF Studio for Linux let me do what I needed to do -- digitally sign PDFs using a hardware token -- with ease, without me having to jump through any hoops. I love it when software just does what it claims!
NegativeSo far, I haven't found anything to dislike, but I haven't used it extensively yet. The fact that it was able to sign things with my hardware token alone was enough to sell me, because that's one place the Linux world seems to be lacking.

I had been trying to find a PDF editor, in Linux that would edit scanned documents. I can tell you that it is not easy. I was amazed at this software PDF Studio Pro. It does not only edit scanned documents but a whole range of edits including creating PDF's. Brilliant, fantastic software and on Linux, what more do you want. Oh, and in Windows.
